“Why do you not drink?”

“Just have some fun!”

“One drink won’t matter?”

Anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol will know the feeling of constant questioning 🤣 it’s not that I NEVER have an alcoholic drink. I have one IF and WHEN I (emphasis on I) want one 😆 but being honest, my go-to drink nowadays is water 💦 🤷🏻‍♀️

I limit the alcohol I have as it doesn’t make me feel good, I know the negative impact it can have on my body, and to be honest - anyone that knows me will vouch for this - I look like I’ve had 10 shots anyway when I’m dancing sober 😅

I suppose I’m lucky that I don’t need alcohol to dance and have fun, as I know a lot of people feel insecure in social settings and need it to “take the edge off” - but for me, I don’t need or want it 🚫

We all know the enjoyment from a Baileys on ice at Christmas, or a Aperol by the beach, but a handful of occasions across the year is enough for me to savour the moments and not affect my body in the long run!

Here are my reasons (and proven reasons) as to why alcohol isn’t present in my day-to-day life… 🍸

JUST GO WALKING - First walk of the year! 🍃

Small group today but lovely to meet some new people! We walked from Rivington Barn up through the Japanese Gardens, up to the Pike, and down past the pigeon tower 🗼

Finished off with a coffee and cake and the nearby cafe 🤍

The next walk will be held in March - keep an eye out for the date!! 🥰

Another year, another Just Go Walking event to attend!

As with last year, these walks will be held every 2 months 🍃

I originally started these walks last year to meet new people and build a community. I hope we get some more people joining us this year 🥰

The first walk of 2025 will be Rivington Pike Circular - a 3.5km walk to ease us in to the new year. This will take approximately 1.5 hours and we will meet around 10am, leaving no later than 10.30am.

As with previous walks, we usually find a place to grab some Sunday dinner afterwards, so let me know if you want to join! 💗

🥞PROTEIN PANCAKES🥞

My go-to recipe for easy, tasty, macro-rich pancakes!

All you need is:
🍌 1 ripe banana
🥚 1 egg
🌾 50g oats (I like GF)
🥛 Splash of milk
💪🏼 1 scoop of protein powder (I used chocolate orange)

1) Blend all ingredients together.
2) Meat a pan over medium heat, and add coconut oil to prevent sticking.
3) Cook slowly until bubbles form, then flip.
4) Serve with 10% fat Greek yoghurt, berries, honey and seeds.

❤️REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 10KM❤️

My first 10km race in the bag! 😁 and such a lovely race to enter! 🌹

I said I would be happy if I managed a sub 1 hour time, but I managed in 53 minutes (on my watch) - time at the finish said 52 🤩🎉

Honestly thought I was going to pass out the last few KM, as I was running my fastest ever pace, but I was determined to give it my all 💪🏼

Now for a hot shower and a Sunday roast ☺️🍗
