“Why do you not drink?”
“Just have some fun!”
“One drink won’t matter?”
Anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol will know the feeling of constant questioning 🤣 it’s not that I NEVER have an alcoholic drink. I have one IF and WHEN I (emphasis on I) want one 😆 but being honest, my go-to drink nowadays is water 💦 🤷🏻♀️
I limit the alcohol I have as it doesn’t make me feel good, I know the negative impact it can have on my body, and to be honest - anyone that knows me will vouch for this - I look like I’ve had 10 shots anyway when I’m dancing sober 😅
I suppose I’m lucky that I don’t need alcohol to dance and have fun, as I know a lot of people feel insecure in social settings and need it to “take the edge off” - but for me, I don’t need or want it 🚫
We all know the enjoyment from a Baileys on ice at Christmas, or a Aperol by the beach, but a handful of occasions across the year is enough for me to savour the moments and not affect my body in the long run!
Here are my reasons (and proven reasons) as to why alcohol isn’t present in my day-to-day life… 🍸
If you’re wanting to improve your gut health, improve your quality of sleep, lose weight, or feel more relaxed - and you drink alcohol regularly - it’s maybe time to reevaluate 🤔
