Do you find them on your dog? Sharing a post from this time last year from my personal page. We literally discovered Ruby’s first tick two nights ago! Same protocol followed as below!
In the past two weeks we have discovered in excess of 30 ticks on Ruby, our cockapoo.
She has tolerated it amazingly, but they have been on her eyebrow, the fur above her nose, outside and inside of both ears and around her shoulders 😬😛
We are definitely experts with the tick remover tool and a bit of sellotape 🤣🤣
We are treating her homeopathically. Every time I remove them (most days at the moment), she gets a dose of Ledum 30c. This is great for bites, puncture wounds etc and a good remedy to give after it has been removed. She is also on Staphysagria 30c daily to try and ‘ward off’ the blighters - this is a great remedy for invasive pests.
Considering starting Silica 30c soon too, she has a few where she has scratched the body off and left the head under the skin. They have scabbed over and her body is dealing with all of this amazingly, but Silica should just help repel what’s left. Silica is a great remedy if you get a splinter or something stuck under the skin and the body needs a bit of a ‘helping hand’ to try and expel it!
We do not use chemical preventatives so do expect she may well pick these up from time to time; though this last batch has been rather excessive and the most we’ve ever had to deal with! However we’re through the worst of it now. Though I’m checking her daily as some of the tiniest ones are hard to spot initially.
Homeopathy helps her body cope and helps her heal every time.
Do you use homeopathy with your animals? Such a gentle natural modality.
