ChangePace Person centred counselling with a strategy based approach to support you in your future wellbeing.

My name is Dan Loftus, I am a therapeutic practitioner with over 10 years experience working in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist. I have a specialist knowledge of fatigue management, working online to support clients to a better pace of life and re-engage them into meaningful activities and have a track record of supporting clients back to employment. I hold compassion and empathy at the heart of my work and can explore and direct you in ways to manage your energy and symptoms better. I have worked with clients experiencing a multitude of health conditions but have specialist knowledge in chronic fatigue, burnout and Long Covid. This has further allowed me to widen my knowledge working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, loss of identity and those who feel stuck in their experience of life. Many of us encounter challenges in our lives, and while we all have a resilience to manage these difficulties, some of us may need some encouragement and guidance to steer us back on track. Whether it’s the feeling of burnout, brain fog or lack of engagement in meaningful activities, I can help by supporting you to recognise and understand what might be stopping you from moving forward to create a fuller, happier and healthier life. Over the last few years I have helped many people in Cornwall experiencing Long Covid. Working now with hundreds of clients in both 1:1 sessions and within a group programme, helping individuals to improve their symptom management and return to a functioning and more fulfilling life. Many of the clients I have worked with have returned to more physically based activities, and some even returning to employment. I hold compassion at the focal point of my work, and recognise we are all unique in what we are experiencing. I provide an individualised client-based approach to support you to become self-caring and more confident in your recovery. I combine my knowledge of therapy, coaching and counselling to enable you to learn from what resources you already have and provide guidance on areas that might need improvement. Typical therapy styles I utilise include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), goal setting, as well as mindfulness.
