Last week’s highlights ✨

What a lovely week we had filled with laughter, music, and a bit of pampering!

Monday – We kicked things off with morning exercises to get everyone moving, followed by a fun (and competitive!) skittles tournament in the afternoon 🎳
Tuesday – A calmer morning with 1-2-1s, then an afternoon of quizzes and music-themed hangman to keep our brains buzzing 🎶
Wednesday – More 1-2-1s and resident shopping trips, finishing the day with a joyful karaoke session 🎤
Thursday – Gents enjoyed fresh haircuts, and we were treated to wonderful live entertainment in the afternoon with the lovely Camille 💫
Friday – A bit of pampering with ladies’ manicures in the morning, then a classic afternoon bingo session to round off the week 🎉

✨ Last Week’s Shenanigans at Aveland Court✨

What a wonderful week it’s been, filled with movement, music, laughter and lovely moments together 💛

Monday got us moving with morning chair exercises, followed by a fun lounge bowls game. The afternoon was all about music making and dancing — plenty of smiles all round! 🎶💃

Tuesday started with a relaxed breakfast down at The Anchorage, then it was back home for an afternoon of “What’s Up?” and a much-loved game of bingo.

Wednesday was a real treat as the lovely Sue visited for our hairdresser session ✂️ followed by an uplifting music therapy session with Mick, our new entertainer — what a hit he was! 🎤🎸

Thursday took us out to Upton Vale Church for their Dementia Café afternoon tea. It was so nice to enjoy good company, conversation and cake ☕🍰

Friday rounded off the week perfectly with a morning trip to the indoor bowls club, then an afternoon of toe-tapping Music Bingo back at home 🎶🎉

Another week full of connection, fun and meaningful moments — we can’t wait to do it all again next week 💚

🌟 Great Start to the New Year! 🌟

We’ve had a wonderful week filled with movement, creativity, laughter, and music. Here are some of our highlights from last week:

💪 Monday – Morning exercises to get everyone moving, followed by a lovely afternoon with a new singer auditioning for us, Patrick, and finishing the day with some fun parlour games.

🎨 Tuesday – A cosy afternoon of arts and crafts, creating beautiful winter snowflakes.

💅 Wednesday – A relaxing afternoon reminiscing together, with nail painting for the ladies.

🎶 Thursday – Live entertainment with the lovely Lea, who brought plenty of smiles and joy.

🚶‍♂️🎱 Friday – Morning walks to enjoy some fresh air, followed by an afternoon of bingo fun.

It’s been a fantastic week, and we’re looking forward to many more moments like these as the year continues 💙✨

✨Christmas & New Year Highlights✨

What a truly magical festive season we’ve shared together! Our home has been filled with laughter, music, creativity and heartfelt moments as we celebrated Christmas and welcomed the New Year 💫

🎶 Music Making – Residents enjoyed making joyful sounds together using our instruments, bringing smiles and rhythm to our days.
🍪 Gingerbread Decorating – Sweet treats and even sweeter memories as we decorated (and tasted!) festive biscuits.
🎤 Christmas Eve Live Entertainment – A beautiful evening with the lovely Camille, filling our home with festive cheer.
🎁 Christmas Day Fun – Presents, games, laughter and togetherness made the day extra special.
☕ Afternoon Tea Outing – A delightful trip to The Anchorage Hotel for a traditional afternoon tea.
🧩 Jigsaws & Games – Cosy moments enjoying puzzles and friendly competition.
🎨 Festive Colouring – Creative calm with seasonal colouring activities.
🎶 New Year’s Eve Entertainment – We rang in the New Year with a fantastic live performance from the wonderful Andy & Lea.

🎄 Festive Weekly Activities Update 🎄

We’ve had a truly magical and joyful week filled with festive cheer, music, movement, and wonderful community visits.

🎅 Monday
We started the week with gentle morning chair exercises to get everyone moving, followed by meaningful one-to-one time with residents. In the afternoon, residents enjoyed music-making sessions and some relaxing festive colouring, creating a calm and creative atmosphere.

🎄 Tuesday
A real highlight of the week as we welcomed Our Lady of Angels School, who visited in the morning to sing beautiful Christmas carols, bringing smiles and festive spirit to everyone. The afternoon was filled with laughter and friendly competition during our cup pyramid games.

🧞 Wednesday
Residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon watching the Aladdin pantomime performed by Evalong Productions. It was full of colour, laughter, and classic pantomime fun that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

🎸 Thursday
The afternoon came alive with live Christmas rock ‘n’ roll entertainment from the wonderful Sam. Residents clapped, sang along, and soaked up the festive atmosphere.

🎶 Friday
We ended the week on a high note with another lovely visit from Homeland Primary School, who treated us to more Christmas carols in the morning. The afternoon was rounded off with a fun and sociable bingo session, enjoyed by all.

It’s been a heartwarming week full of festive joy, connection, and shared moments. Thank you to all our visitors and entertainers who helped make this week so special 🎄❤️
