We took a great opportunity to exhibit at Torbay Job Fayre. We met a lot of nice people looking for jobs. We also had opportunity to take a photo with our MP Steve Darling MP

Thanks to Torbay Council for organising an event that creates opportunities for people looking for jobs and for organisations like us.

🎃 Aveland Court Weekly Highlights! 🍂

It’s been a fun and creative week so far at Aveland Court! 💚

✨ Monday: Our residents got into the spooky spirit with some Halloween crafts — lots of laughter, glue, and glitter flying around!
🎯 Tuesday: We enjoyed some friendly competition with bowls and bean bag tossing in the lounge — a great way to keep active and share smiles. Lovely chat in the garden with tea and biscuits in the afternoon.
🍁 Wednesday: We finished our beautiful autumn trees crafts and treated the ladies to a lovely hair pampering session — relaxation and creativity all in one day!

🌼 A Wonderful Week at Aveland Court 🌼

This past week has been full of fun, relaxation, and togetherness for our lovely residents:

✨ Monday – We started the week with gentle morning exercise, followed by a peaceful afternoon tea in the garden ☀️🍰
✨ Tuesday – Residents prepared and enjoyed a creative afternoon of crafting, making colourful mini beasts 🐞🦋
✨ Wednesday – Pamper Day was a treat with hair styling and hand & nail painting 💅🌸
✨ Thursday – Spirits were high with our fantastic Live Entertainment Day with the lovely Camille 🎶💃
✨ Friday – We wrapped up the week with puzzles, laughter, and plenty of teamwork 🧩🧠

💚 Our Aveland Court family truly enjoyed another week of smiles, creativity, and shared moments together.

🌟 Life at Aveland Court! 🌟

We’ve had such a fun-filled few days here at Aveland:

💇‍♀️ Wednesday – Our lovely residents were pampered with fresh trims and styles during hairdresser visits.
🎨 Arts & Crafts – Everyone got creative making their very own pirate puppets!
🎶 Thursday – We danced, sang, and clapped along with our favourite Elvis impersonator – a big hit as always!
🧩 Puzzles & Games – Jigsaw puzzles and memory games kept minds sharp and smiles bright.
🏴‍☠️ Friday – Talk Like a Pirate Day! We kicked things off with Pirate Bingo in the morning, and in the afternoon our residents got into character with some swashbuckling role play, pirate voices and all!
Then to finish the day with a lovely stroll to the park for some fresh air 😃

🌸✨ It’s been a busy start to the week here at Aveland Court Care Home! ✨🌸

💪 Monday morning kicked off with some gentle exercises to get everyone moving, followed by lots of laughs with our pass the balloon game – families who were visiting joined in too, which made it extra special! 🎈💞

🌿 In the afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely trip to Fermoys Garden Centre with our sister home Lorna House Care Home Torquay – fresh air, pretty plants, and plenty of smiles all around. 🌸🌱

🎨 Tuesday afternoon was all about creativity! Our residents got crafty making their very own pirate puppets ready for Talk Like a Pirate Day this Friday. 🏴‍☠️☠️
