Join our Policy Shapers, and help us tell the Government what life is really like for people with a learning disability, and what needs to change.

This month we'll ask you about the government’s review of Personal Independence Payments (PIP) led by Sir Stephen Timms.

The Government’s review is going to explore if the money from PIP helps to support disabled people to live independently.
We want to hear what you think, so we can share your views with decision makers and help make PIP better in the future.

The new Mental Health Act has received Royal Assent, meaning it is now law. This provides the legal framework to detain and treat people in a mental health crisis who are at risk of harm to themselves or others.

The Benefact Group Movement for Good - 12 Days of Giving is back !!!

In December, they will be giving 120 charities £1,000 each over 12 days.

The first draw takes place on December 1st and the last on December 16th with 10 charities drawn every weekday.

We have to be in it to win it !!!!

Some of the Torbay members have successfully completed accredited AQA training in conducting interviews ✨🌟✨
They talked about what to look for in a good candidate and how to be a good interviewer. They also conducted mock interviews with 2 candidates.
It was a very enjoyable morning; many thanks to Kate and Catherine for running the training 🙏
