There’s an ever increasing number of TV ads promoting Pure Cremations as the only alternative for funerals that’s won’t break the bank … there are many ways to provide a warm, meaningful personalised Celebration of Life which won’t cost the earth.
At present it’s made to seem as though there are just 3 alternatives, Crematorium , Church Service or Pure Cremations… this simply isn’t true! I’m happy to chat to anyone regarding alternatives wether you require my services or not so if you would like further help or information just message or email

Edit: We’d like to share more about the story behind Reading Crematorium’s new ‘Letters to Heaven’ post box, donated by Nicola and Will Middleton in loving memory of their baby boy, Leo 🤍

Through Will’s incredible fundraising efforts, Nicola and Will have made this heartfelt addition possible. In May, Will ran the challenging Thames Path 100, raising over £4000 for The Willows Support Group which has supported Nicola and Will and continues to support so many families like them, after this devastating type of loss.

Nicola and Will have also worked closely with Overbury who have kindly dedicated their time and expertise to renovate the Baby Area in the Memorial Garden at Reading Crematorium. The couple hope that this space can now provide families with a peaceful and tranquil place to reflect and remember, dedicated to all the babies taken too soon, always loved and never forgotten.

Thanks to the Middleton family, this special space is a lasting tribute to their beloved Leo and is now a comforting place for all families to remember their loved ones.

Visitors to Reading Cemetery and Crematorium are invited to send a message to a loved one they have lost, using the new 'Letters to Heaven' post box installed this week 🕊

Located on Path Four of the Gardens of Remembrance, the new white postbox is for the use of anyone who may benefit from it. People are welcome to post letters, postcards, birthday cards, anniversary cards, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards or Christmas cards – any simple written format you want it to be, regardless of when their loved one passed away, or where their funeral service took place

Every letter or card put into the memorial post box is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality when it is emptied, they are stored securely before cremation and are never opened or read

Being a Celebrant is hugely rewarding and is made even more so when the service you are a providing is for a very special lady and dear friend.

It was my absolute pleasure and honour to have been the Celebrant providing the Celebration of Life service for this lovely lady Lorraine Breen, she had a great sense of humour and always so much fun to be around.
The service was greatly attended which was only to be expected.

I am surrounded by strong fabulous women, friends who have have raised children whilst holding 3 jobs, those who have taken the plunge and started their own businesses, friends who have fought cancer and those who have grieved far to young but continue to strive. Woman who have had to fight to over come, I am proud of all the lady’s in my life
but the most rewarding has been watching my daughters grow as they are now strong independant women which makes me very proud ❤️
