This week, I’m chatting with Dr. Mary Alice Mina, a Harvard-trained dermatologist with over 20 years of experience! 🌟

She’s sharing her expert tips for glowing, luminous skin in midlife and showing us how to simplify our skincare routines.

We’re diving into the best products to get a flawless complexion (without breaking the bank), why SPF is a MUST every day, and how to tackle hyperpigmentation and common skin concerns.

Plus, we get into the juicy stuff—Botox and fillers! Are they safe? Worth it? You’ll want to hear her take on it. 🎧

It’s a super insightful conversation, and trust me, my routine has sharpened up since chatting with Dr. Mina. 💫

This week we’re joined by Bethan founder of Mother Root.

In this interview Bethan explains how her decade long career in the wine industry and first pregnancy gave her the impetus to create an enjoyable non alcohol drink that she could savour in the evening.

10 years on and this gingery based non alcoholic aperitif is a firm contender in the alcohol free market. It certainly is one of my favourites.

During our chat - Bethan explains how she created this delicious drink and we discuss the many benefits of its natural and healthy ingredients and why it’s a good idea to limit our alcohol intake.

Bethan also explains why her vision is to redefine what it means to drink well and why connection, joy and curiosity are words that she associates with her brand.

We focused in on sleep and stress - two areas that a lot of us struggle with.

Bianca explains how to incorporate simple habits like getting outside for a just a few minutes in the morning, and how that can really set us up for a positive day and a restful night.

She explains the power and the science behind the ‘physiological sigh’ that can be a game changer when we’re in the midst of a stressful situation.

And how we can calm and prime our nervous system for a good night’s sleep by practising NSDR - NON-SLEEP DEEP RELAXATION

I love this quote

I heard it in the car yesterday on Women’s hour

I’m not sure if the presenter Nuala McGovern just came up with it or whether she had heard it from someone else?

But it really did strike a chord so thank you Nuala - I thought it was worth repeating and sharing

As midlife women we certainly have our challenges but this is one element of being a woman that no one can take away from us

Incidentally she was interviewing the cast of

Mad Women of the West by Sandra Tsing Loh’s zany play (Riverside Studios)

It’s based around their long estranged friendship and what it means to be a woman in the 21st century. Apparently funny, wise and hilarious.

Hoping to go sometime

Episode 3 is here

Available on Apple Podcasts & Spotify

In this episode I chat to a colleague and exceptional personal trainer, Emma Tytherleigh of Joyful Menopause.

We discuss how to improve your energy, mood, strength and how well you age by building in more movement into your life.

Emma has lots of great advice on how to easily incorporate daily movement, even if you’re starting from scratch. We discuss building in a commute if you’re working from home, why weights or moving your body against gravity like walking up hills or with a rucksack can all pay into your all important health pension.

If you’re in need of some motivation and some easy ideas to get you started then you really don’t want to miss this one.

Hey I’m so happy to tell you about this new podcast called

HOW TO FEEL LIKE A MIDLIFE GODDESS

Yes by me

produced by me

and hosted by me

I’ve wanted to do a podcast forever but have been too fearful of the tech, my reach and my ability to do it and be consistent

But then I tuned into the inner, timeless goddess that I am and she decided to put all that aside and just go for it

What can go wrong… I fail, and what’s wrong with that - at least I’ll be able to see I had the guts to give it a go

So here goes ….

What’s it about

Well I’ve come to realise that having a mostly happy and healthy midlife is all about

HOW YOU FEEL

Get that right and you’ve really hit the sweet spot in life

That’s why I called this podcast

HOW TO FEEL LIKE A MIDLIFE GODDESS

My first episode I’m talking about how to eat to feel a midlife goddess
- my easy approach to food ensuring you get your plate right time and again

The second episode is the story of a midlife goddess who lost 60 kilos in two years …such a compelling story for anyone who has ever struggled with weight issues or body image

Next up I’ll be talking to fitness expert and midlife goddess Emma - who’s got some great advice on how to keep your midlife goddess strong and vital

Please do have a listen, share and let me know any topics you’d like me to cover - I’d love to hear from you ♥️

But for now, here’s to us all . . .

Feeling like the midlife goddesses that we truly are
