🌿 Want More Love in Your Life? Start Here 🌿
This is the book we’re currently studying in our Foundation Programme in Truro, which meets every Thursday evening. In this weekly study group, we don’t just read — we learn, contemplate, and meditate on the teachings together, allowing them to gradually shape how we experience everyday life.
Here’s a simple practice from the book you can try right now:
🏠 Think about something ordinary you use every day — your home
Pause for a moment and consider how many people were involved in making it possible for you to live there.
Who built the walls and roof?
Who installed the water, electricity, heating or internet?
Who maintains the roads, collects the bins, or ensures clean water reaches your tap?
So much of what feels “normal” or taken for granted actually depends on the effort, care and cooperation of countless others.
From this reflection, gently develop a feeling of cherishing others —
a sense that all living beings are important and that their happiness truly matters.
Try this contemplation each day for a week…
and notice whether you experience more warmth, connection, and love in your life.
📖 You can purchase the book from Tharpa, or pick up a copy by:
* dropping into Ganden Ling Kadampa Meditation Centre (Truro)
* or visiting one of our branch classes in Falmouth, Pool or Penzance
You’re very welcome to meet the people involved, ask questions about the study programme, or simply come along and see if it’s for you.

Everyone is welcome.
Do you want to have more love in your life? Try this:
Contemplate the kindness of others by thinking of all the things you have in dependence on others such as your morning cup of coffee.
How many people had to pick the coffee beans, pack them up, ship them, roast them and put them in a nice package for you to buy? If you put any milk in your cup of coffee, how many beings were involved in that coming into existence?
After considering all the things so many people did so that you could have your lovely cup of coffee, develop a feeling of cherishing them- "a sense that all living beings are important and that their happiness matters."
Do this every day for a week and see if you have more love in your life!
