In 2023, the Carnon Downs team won Best Practice Team of the Year. In 2024, our Head Nurse Hayley was nominated and got through to the final 5 of Head Nurse of the year.

Well, we've only gone and done it again! In 2025, our Practice Manager Hannah has been nominated and got through to the finals for Practice Manager of the Year at the MyDentist Excellence Awards.

Hannah started training as a dental nurse in 2014 at our Carnon Downs practice and has gone on to work at various practices in the area as both a nurse and Practice Manager before returning to us here in 2023.

MyDentist is one of Europe's largest dental providers and we have around 600 practices up and down the UK so to get through to this stage of the awards is amazing.

A while ago now we had our second visit to the lovely Rising Stars Nursery in Truro where we read about Robbie and the Sugar Bug family, played some 'Good Food, Bad Food' and learnt a bit more about how often, how long and when the best times are to brush our teeth.

We love doing these nursery and school visits and are always happy to come by and speak with the children.... always fun to hear who never brushes their teeth, who brushes their teeth 10 times a day, who doesn't like vegetables and who loves olives!
