COVID-19 Spring Booster update 🌸

You may have seen that NHS England has begun sending out COVID vaccination invitations.

We’re preparing a Saturday clinic on 9th May, and we’ll contact all eligible patients as soon as plans are confirmed and booking has opened.

Eligibility criteria: You’re eligible for the Spring booster if you are over 75 or immunocompromised.

Please note:
We kindly ask that you do not call the surgery to book at this stage, as we are not yet able to make appointments. Invitations will be sent out in the usual way once booking is available.

🌿April is Stress Awareness Month – a great reminder to ‘Know Your Numbers’!

Stress doesn’t just affect how we feel. Over time, it can raise your blood pressure and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke.
And because high blood pressure often has no symptoms – knowing your numbers is one of the simplest ways to protect your health.
What to do if stress is creeping in?
Try quick resets like stepping away from your screen, switching off notifications for a bit, or doing something that makes you smile. 🥰
💚 This month, let’s look after our hearts and our minds…
Take a breather, take a moment… and take your blood pressure!
Know Your Numbers and Take Action
Once you know what your blood pressure numbers are, it's important to understand what to do next if they're high.
Contact us to discuss your blood pressure reading with your GP doctor, who can then give advise on next steps.

A new scheme has launched in Cornwall to help people in financial crisis.

It's called the Crisis and Resilience Fund and will replace the Household Support Fund and the current Crisis & Care Awards scheme.

It includes an extra ÂŁ1.5 million to help residents on a low income who rely on oil, following recent price increases.
