Spinal Fractures
We also have patients who have:

Drug & Alcohol problems
Elective Surgery
This is only a small portion of the patients we treat but it goes without saying that if it's broken and it's a bone we are the ward that will attempt to fix it surgically. However, as you can see, we mend not only bones. Some patients attend the ward with partial amputations, crush injuries, and joint problems, to name but a few. There are many traumatic injuries that we see on a day-to-day basis and each case is different. The age range of patients we see on the ward can range from 16 to 116. So it is clear that every day is different on the ward and you will never know what you will come across when you turn up for a shift.
