Reiki with Theia

Theia is a border collie, twelve and a half years old with cancer.

I had done my morning meditation and Theia was interested in that session as I was calm and relaxed. I then did a few jobs and sat down.

Theia came to me and nudged my arms and hands. I asked Theia if she wanted a Reiki healing session and she looked me, licked my face and then moved my hands again,

So we started a session. All this was led by Theia. Theia was amazing to work with. She would move my hands with her nose to the area's she wanted them to be and would stop and lick my hand. Theia took me to many places on her body, each time she would guide my hand and if it was in the right place lick my hand. If it was not correct Theia would move it to the right area.

Theia wanted me to move to her underside, she was laid beside me all the time, so she took her leg and paw and guided me again to the area's she wanted. Once we reached the area she would stop and leave her leg in the air or guide my arm closer to her body.

This session was not too long. Theia decided when it was ended and moved away. Theia had this option through the session, there was no holding or making her stay. Theia is now fast asleep on the sofa

I am learning all the time and I love it. Thank you Theia for being my teacher

Learning and developing.

Yesterday I had a feeling that I needed to offer Reiki to a lovely lady who was on her final stages of being. I had to stop and just offer some distant healing. This was the first time I was called to offer like this, no contact from family or the lady herself, but the call was there, intuition I guess you would call it.

I just sat and asked permission to offer the healing. I was guided all the way. I surrounded the lady with a white light and a light that connected our hearts. It was a pure feeing of love and respect. I allowed myself to be guided to offer Reiki (it is important to remember that I am only a facilitator and I can not force Reiki on anyone or animal without permission)

I was guided to the ladies heart, throat chakra and her crown chakra. Heart is love and compassion. Throat is communication and self expression. Crown is spiritual. These were very appropriate for the lady concerned. I felt a true connection to the lady in many ways. I am still processing the whole experience. Hence the writing of this so I can reflect.

The healing session was not long only 20 mins but I was guided to end it, so I did.

My lady passed away last night, peacefully, with family.

Continuing my education is important to me. I am now studying Chakra Balancing and Energy Healing Diploma, this will enable me to offer more natural healing to my clients. This again was a calling to me to do more and learn more. This fits in so well with all of my work with humans and animals.

Reflection on the rain we are now receiving.

I know we complain when we constantly have rain, but there again we complain when we have too much heat. We love to complain.

I am enjoying the little rain we are having at the moment. I see mother nature breathing a sign of relief as the earth was so dry, the plants wilted under the constant sun. I can smell the difference in the air, it's a freshness, life source, the earth has her own odour, the plants have a new lease of life my flowers are turning the corner. Life is different with the rain.

Take time to observe mother nature, note what you see and smell.

Reiki is such an interesting way of healing. I have a stressful life and it is not always easy going. Learning about Reiki and putting inti practice what I have learnt abut self care is making a big difference. I am learning that I have to alter my way of thinking and put that into practice. I do this even when I am driving, I cant control other peoples actions and if they do silly things I follow the Reiki Principles, I do not get angry being one of them. I try to follow the 5 Principles everyday and if I forget I don't worry being another one , I look at it as a learning opportunity.

Each day is a new day and a new opportunity. Theia, Electra, Lanaras and Socrates are doing so much better too as they can obviously feel the change in my energy. I feel alive and more peaceful. I am still learning to listen to my bodies needs and this is taking time, but it is work in progress. I am finding I need my sleep more and I am listening to my needs.

I have undertaken lots or new training and I have loved every minute of it. I am able to see things in a different light. I belong to a lovely group and we meet up on lots of occasions and learn new skills, meditate, journey which is helping me too.

I am so glad that I have finally taken this route as it has been calling me for a very long time. Since I was a child I have always been called to other ideas such as journeying, power animals I always dreamed of walking with black panthers by my side. I have been interested in crystals and other ways of living.

I am in a good place now and look forward to continuing my training and offering Reiki to both humans and animals
