When working with Reiki, only your body knows where it needs support, and it might not be where you think. I was giving myself a treatment and I thought the area that needed help was my digestive system as I was stressed, but I was guided to work on my head first. That is logical as my head was running away with thoughts and not making any progress. If I did not sort my head out then my digestive system would not improve.

When you find a good book to read and you cant put it down. I was recommended a book Reiki and Japan by Masaki Nishina. This book is so well written, the author brings history, fact and methods together. I had wondered why Western Reiki was different from its origins in Japan, and this answered my questions but also has raised more and has left me wanting to know more. Things I have learnt have been questioned as they were not what was intended in Reiki but for the western world have become the norm such as Levels, the adding of other healing techniques such as charkas, crystals, symbols and their meanings.

I would like to than Andrej Raider of the Field of Reiki for sending me down a new rabbit hole. Just love learning.
