I am thinking about starting a small ADHD support group for women.

A space for women who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, constantly overthinking, struggling with organisation, emotions, masking, relationships or just feeling different and exhausted from trying to keep up with life.

This would be a small online support group running for 6 weeks.

This is not counselling or therapy, but a supportive space to talk, share experiences, learn about ADHD and find ways of working with your brain rather than against it.

If this is something you might be interested in, comment below or message me and I will send more information.

A gentle reminder that therapy isn’t always just a lovely, calm hour where you leave feeling lighter every single time.

Sometimes therapy can feel a bit uncomfortable, sometimes emotional, and sometimes quite tiring. That’s often because you’re talking about things you might have held in for a long time, or feelings you’ve never really had space to explore before.

But therapy should always feel safe, supported, and at your pace. You are always in control of what you share and when. A good therapist will never push you faster than you’re ready to go.

Often, the uncomfortable moments in therapy are where we start to understand ourselves a little more, process things we’ve been carrying, and slowly begin to make sense of our experiences.

Therapy isn’t about being “fixed”.
It’s about being heard, understood, and supported while you figure things out in your own way, in your own time 🤍

Today I reached an important milestone in my counselling journey and was signed off for my Fitness to Practise.

It made me reflect on how different the person I am today is from the person I used to be. I used to be anxious, unsure of myself and relied a lot on external validation and approval. I didn’t feel comfortable in myself and I often felt like I was just trying to keep up rather than really living.

Over time, through my own personal work, self-reflection and healing, I started to understand myself more, become more congruent, and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful.
Personal growth isn’t easy and it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s uncomfortable, emotional, challenging and sometimes exhausting. But it is always worth it.

I think it’s really important as a counsellor to have done your own work, to understand yourself, your triggers, your patterns and your story. Because only then can you truly sit alongside someone else in theirs.

So if you’re on your own journey at the moment and it feels hard — keep going.

Change is possible. Growth is possible. You are not stuck forever.

A day that’s expected to feel joyful doesn’t always feel that way for everyone.

Sometimes it’s not the day itself, but what it represents… the memories, the associations, the quiet triggers that can surface.
It’s a reminder that we all experience the same moments differently.

Each person brings their own story, emotions, and meaning into any given situation. What feels light and celebratory for one person can feel heavy for another.

When we can pause, stay curious, and avoid assumptions, we create space.

Space for understanding.
Space for compassion.
Space for people to feel safe in their experience.

Support isn’t always about changing how someone feels…
Sometimes it’s simply about noticing, acknowledging, and being alongside them in it.

🌼 A little reminder from nature this morning…

I spotted the first daffodil today and it felt like a quiet sign that things are changing.

After a long winter, the evenings are getting lighter, the air feels softer, and nature is slowly waking up again.

For many people winter can feel heavy. But just like these daffodils pushing through the soil, change and growth are often happening beneath the surface — even when we can’t see it yet.
Sometimes the smallest signs remind us that brighter days are on the way.

Separation & Divorce Support Circle for Women

Separation or divorce can be one of the most emotionally challenging experiences we go through. It can bring feelings of grief, anger, confusion, loneliness and uncertainty about what comes next.

Often, the hardest part is feeling like you are going through it alone.

This small online support circle has been created to offer a safe, supportive space for women who are navigating separation or divorce. A place where you can talk openly, feel heard, and connect with others who understand the emotional impact of this experience.

Alongside my counselling training, I also bring lived experience of divorce, which helps me understand just how overwhelming and isolating this chapter of life can sometimes feel.

Together we will explore themes such as rebuilding self-worth, processing difficult emotions, letting go of the past and beginning to move forward with strength and clarity.

✨ What to expect
• Small supportive group (maximum 10 women)
• 6 weekly online sessions
• A respectful and confidential space
• Gentle guidance and reflective exercises each week
• Connection with others who understand

📅 Start Date: Week commencing 7 April 2026
⏰ Sessions will run weekly online
💻 Delivered securely online through Doxy.me

✨ Founding Circle Offer

Due to the great response already received, the first circle will begin on the date above.

To launch this group, I am offering the first circle at a special price of £40 for the full 6-week programme (usually £60).

This offer is limited to the first 10 women.

Please note:
This group is a peer support space, not counselling or therapy. I am currently a trainee counsellor, and the aim is to create a supportive environment where women can share experiences and support one another.

If this feels like something that may support you during this time, please send me a private message or email:

You don’t have to go through this chapter of life alone.

✨ The New Chapter Circle – Online Women's Support Group ✨

I’m exploring the idea of starting a small online support circle for women who are navigating separation or divorce.

Relationship breakdown can be one of the most emotionally challenging transitions we go through. It can bring grief, uncertainty, anger, relief, and everything in between. Sometimes it simply helps to sit in a space with others who truly understand.

This would be a gentle, supportive online space where women can come together, share experiences, and support one another through this chapter of life.

Please note: this is not counselling, but a safe and confidential space for women to connect and talk openly.

💻 Online group
👩 Limited to 8 women
🗓 6 week group
💷 £10 per session (£60 for the full 6 weeks)

I’m currently seeing if there is interest before setting dates.
If this sounds like something that could support you, please send me a private message to register your interest.
Starting again can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. 🌿

Today is International Women’s Day, so today I’m thinking about women.

So many women carry so much.
Being a mum.
Being a partner or wife.
Holding everything together at home.

Managing work, careers, responsibilities and expectations.
Sometimes it can feel like we’re meant to be able to do it all.
I recognise this because at one point in my life, I was that woman too.

The one who felt she had to keep going and keep holding everything together.

But when I finally paused, reflected, and allowed myself the space to speak openly in counselling, something important shifted.

I realised that no one else was expecting me to be superwoman.
The pressure I felt to carry everything alone had mostly come from within me.

Counselling gave me the space to slow down, understand myself more deeply, and begin living in a way that felt more true to who I really am.

For me, counselling wasn’t about fixing something that was wrong.

It was about learning, growing, and allowing myself to become a more congruent version of myself — someone who could live with greater balance, self-understanding and happiness.
Sometimes that first step of opening up can feel like the hardest one. But it can also be the beginning of something really meaningful.

As Carl Rogers said:
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

“Becoming begins with today".

“I wouldn’t know what to talk about.”

I hear this so often when people think about starting therapy.
There’s a belief that you need to arrive with something huge.

Something dramatic.
Something that justifies taking up the space.

But you don’t.

A busy life is enough.
A quiet life is enough.
Feeling overwhelmed is enough.
Feeling a bit lost is enough.
You don’t have to prepare a story.
You don’t have to prove your struggle.

You are enough to bring.

Therapy isn’t about having the “right” problem.
It’s about having a space where you can simply be — and gently explore whatever unfolds from there.

Sometimes what we discover isn’t what we expected.
Sometimes it’s smaller.
Sometimes it’s deeper.
But it always begins with you.
And that is more than enough. 🌿

🌿 The coping strategies we don’t even realise we have
This morning I woke up to another grey, rainy Friday feeling tired and a little flat.

Without really thinking about it, I reached for my brightest clothes.
Not to look a certain way. Not for anyone else.
Just instinctively — colour, light, warmth. A small shift.

And it made me pause.

We all have subtle ways of regulating ourselves. Some people put music on. Some step outside for fresh air. Some take a few quiet minutes before the house wakes up. Some wrap up in something comforting.
These aren’t about image.
They’re about care.

Since leaving the house today, three people have commented on how bright my outfit is. Three small moments of connection that began with me simply trying to lift my own mood.
There’s something powerful in noticing that.

When we slow down enough to become aware of our patterns, we move from automatic to intentional. From just getting through… to understanding how we support ourselves.
In person-centred therapy, we trust there is a natural movement towards growth within us — even on rainy Fridays.

Sometimes growth starts with something very small.

✨ What do you instinctively reach for when you need a lift?
