Hi everyone,
My name is Joseph Hughes and I am the Registered Manager for Fourways. I work for an organisation called City Care Partnership and we provide support to people with autism and other associated learning disabilities and complex needs.
For those that are unfamiliar with autism, it is a lifelong, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them and it can make the world quite a complex and difficult place to understand. We currently support two people at Fourways with more residents scheduled to move in over the coming months and one of our main aims is to provide the people we support with the opportunity to be a part of their local community and to have a community presence
I completely understand people’s curiosity which is why I thought I’d post to introduce ourselves and provide some information about the type of work we do. I’d also like to offer local residents a point of contact and the opportunity to meet up or if you’d prefer to write or call to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have.
