This month we will be delivering the first of our special evening sessions hosted by the North East Folklore society! “ Steam, Salt & Stories: Folklore Sessions”

For centuries, folk have gathered around fires in their community to share stories; stories that share hope, guidance, and wonder.
This summer, join the North East Folklore Society and Steam & Salt for sauna folklore sessions - evenings of myth and magic by the sauna fire, sharing tales of the North East’s history to inspire wonder and grow our beautiful community.
Bring a story to share, or just sit back, enjoy the heat and be fascinated by the folklore stories on offer from others!

Starting May 1st, Steam & Salt is staying open late. We’re bringing you the ultimate evening reset with three new session times every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Whether you’re washing off the work week or starting your Saturday night with a glow, we’ve got a bench waiting for you.

A little reminder to all you beautiful sauna goers … the clocks go forward this weekend! ⏰ If you have a session booked with us this Sunday morning, please double-check your alarms so that you’re not late or completely miss your steamy sauna session!

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been refining our website to make booking a bit less complicated (thank you for bearing with us 🙏🏻). You can now secure your sauna sessions all the way up to the end of July and we have a few exciting events planned - all on our booking site !

We’ve streamlined our booking system so you can find exactly what you’re looking for in just a few clicks. Here is our new, simplified lineup:

✨ Until the end of April: Grab your spot in our classic Community Bookings!
🔥 May to July: It’s all about choosing your perfect fit! Choose between Iso (our big, spacious 12-seater) or Pikku (our cozy 8-seater).

Looking for something a little different? Check out our Speciality & Community section! We’ve got Silent Saunas 🤫, Women-Only Saunas 🌸, and Singing Saunas 🎶!

⏰ Need-to-Know Session Times (All sessions are 1 hour long!):

☀️ Daytime Slots (Tue-Sun): 7:00, 8:15, 9:30, 10:45, 12:00, 13:15, 14:30, and 15:45.

🌙 NEW Late Sessions (Starting in May!): Kick off your weekend right on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with evening slots at 17:00, 18:15, and 19:30.

Did you know? Currently, when you book a "Longsands Community" session, we allocate you to either Iso or Pikku on arrival. It’s a great way to meet the community and experience both of our hand-built saunas. Just £16.50 for a full hour of bliss. 🔥
