I don’t know about you but personally I find that it can be really tricky to carve time out for myself. I have got better at it though, mainly because I have learnt how important it is for my sanity!
In therapy I often use the analogy of the oxygen mask on an aeroplane… despite it feeling counter-intuitive, you are a told to fix your own mask before helping others. The same is true in life.
My go-to self care activities are a daytime bath and paddle boarding. What are yours?
