Term 5 timetable is now live to book via our online booking system.

We have put on an extra private session every week on a Wednesday afternoon and Tiny Tools is back, every Friday at 1.30pm for £10 pay as you go bookings. Whoop whoop

Friday

11+ group had a go at tiling and then proceeded to make a bespoke go kart using my children's old pram. Great stuff and seeing how much joy it brought everyone as they got involved was brilliant and the friendships that have blossomed is priceless. We also have a few projects on the go and a small work table from last week got its paint job today and looks very good.

SEN group and we made a bird box all in one session complete with hinges lid, lucky birds👌🏻👍🏻. The field mouse house is certainly evolving and looks brilliant. There is a storage box being lovingly created and we even had some brickwork being done out in the garden.

What a lovely Friday and a glorious week. Well done all!

You just can't beat a hand held physical book. We brought this toy box from shop in Uckfield this morning along with a few books that cover a few interests of The Orange ToolBox members for inspiration for their own builds. Jack lovingly upcycled the toy box, turning it into our workshop hanging 'book box' with a paint job to match our glitter walls. Well done Jack.

Hospices such as St Peter and St James Hospice are there for our local communities to give guidance, comfort, care and dignity to incurable or terminally ill patients and their family and friends in their time of need. What Jack did today was bring this well built but tired toy box back to life and give it a new purpose that holds inspiration in forms of ideas out of books for the children here that in turn will bring them joy and happiness to create. That's priceless and a seriously beautiful thing. Genuinely if you have not ventured into a St Peter and St James Hospice shop, it is well worth doing.

Unbelievable that the governments past and present just don't seem to grasp the importance of such hospices and leave it to mainly public donations and lottery grants to keep going. Many hospices around the country have been falsed to close because they simply do not have the finances to keep helping those in need at the end of life and it is quite frankly appalling. Thank goodness for the hardworking staff of these hospices that are fighting tooth and nail to deliver that care.
