Friday! Last day of term
11+ group mosaic tiles were put into the coffee table made last week. We had a mock rafter set up. Pitched with birds mouth cut outs and gable ends added. The pillar drill attracted a lot of interest and questions, with some of the group having a go and getting a general understanding of what can be done. We also had a shelf finished and the mini wood steamer is now finished and set to be tested at the start of next term. A game of bag toss to end the session, lots of fun, laughter and building upon their friendships. Four sets with the winner of each round winning a chocolate truffle.
SEN session and that was a busy one. Rocket ship was started. Tiling the table top from last week. A water feature was finished. There was a wooden wreath and angle made as well as a cityscape and wooden castle. A few more items invented. Great stuff.
What a term and we have crammed so much into it. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, fencing and brickwork. Welding hinges, making an 8' wooden Christmas tree and laying drainage. 7 weeks and it flew by.
