Autumn Booster Vaacination season is fast approaching here at the Meads Medical Centre.

We are holding clinics for COVID boosters and Influenza vaccines 💉 on 11th and 25th October.

If you are eligible and have a mobile number and consent for text messaging you will receive an invite and booking link over the next few days.

If you do not consent to text messaging nor have a mobile attached to your medical records, please call the surgery to check eligibility and get booked in.

At the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, we stand with partners across healthcare in raising awareness of gynaecological cancers and the importance of early detection.

As part of our Hatfield Vision - Goal 13, we are committed to improving access to cervical screening. In November 2023, NHSE set the ambitious goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2040, a commitment that could save thousands of lives every year.

Screening saves lives. By ensuring equitable access to cervical screening and breaking down barriers to care, we can make this vision a reality.

When you find out you are pregnant, you can refer yourself for NHS pregnancy care so you start care with a midwife right away.

Once you sign up online, the maternity team will contact you to book your first appointment with a midwife.

You should do this by the 10th week of pregnancy, if possible, but it’s never too late to start. If you're over 10 weeks, refer yourself as soon as you can.

Due to increased demand the Meads Medical Centre are looking to recruit new clerical assistants to join our team. Main duties will involve working on reception, answering the telephone and other administrative duties. You can expect to receive full training, the opportunity to join the NHS pension scheme and a supportive work environment.
