🌟 Celebrating Jason Cottle’s Journey in Care 🌟

We’re delighted to share the inspiring story of Jason Cottle (pictured left with Head of Training Scott Jones), who took his first steps into care through our fully funded Employability Course, delivered by Agincare Training.

Although new to the care sector, Jason brought with him strong people skills from his background in hospitality. The course gave him the confidence and foundation he needed to pursue a brand-new career path.

Not long after, Jason’s commitment and enthusiasm led him to secure a role with our flagship Weymouth & Portland home care service.

Determined to keep developing, Jason enrolled on the Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care in January 2025, and we’re proud to announce that he has now successfully achieved this qualification! 🎉

“Jason is a dedicated learner who has worked hard and is eager to learn as much as he can in his new care role. He has shown a naturally caring attitude in his work, and I look forward to seeing his continued progression.”

Reflecting on his journey so far, Jason said:

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Recruitment Co-ordinator Laura Hewitt (pictured with Head of Recruitment, Katherine Drew), has been crowned our Head Office Employee of the Month! 🎉

In her role, Laura plays a vital part in our Recruitment team, supporting candidates through every step of onboarding.

From managing references and DBS checks to Right to Work documentation and training, she ensures each candidate has a smooth, professional experience.

Her dedication, efficiency, and supportive nature haven’t gone unnoticed – with several colleagues nominating her for this award, praising her strong work ethic and the unwavering support she provides to her team.

Her line manager, Lauren Oliver, said of Laura:

When Ron began facing repeated hospital stays, his daughter Susan had a tough decision to make 4,000 miles away in Florida.

Team members from our Head Office in Portland were once again split into the mighty Angels and the mischievous Demons to battle it out in the long-running charity volleyball tournament held on Weymouth Beach.

It was a nail-biting showdown (as always), but alas, glory slipped through our years for another year!

Well done to both teams who gave it their all (and them some!)

And a huge shoutout to the Weymouth & Portland Round Table and Portland Round Table for organising this year’s tournament – passing the baton from long-standing supporter Nantes Solicitors.

Agincare Training has smashed national achievement rates and set a new benchmark for excellence in adult social care training.

This success is a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and passion shown by our apprentices and the unwavering support from our training and operational teams.
