RCN wants it member to Vote for more strikes and in their words to "Bring down this Government" meaning they are hell bent on taking action for their own agenda rather then caring for the sick and saving the lives of people and this include working class. They do NOT understand the harm they are doing to NHS and most importantly patients lives. Will the public continue to support their case for improved pay when we start to see our love ones dying because of strikes, or when parents see their kids dying because even chidren hospitals & services are affected by nurses and the doctors striking. Are we going to see the end of the NHS as we have known it. Is there now a case for the private sector to build and run hospitals within the UK and the government only needing to fund cost of patients treatments to receive treatment given at and in private hospitals without having to meet the additional cost of building, managing NHS hospitals and services. If such was the case many nurses & doctors would be out of a job byupsetting their employers and private sector would have less staff and less pay for their staff. Nurses & Doctors you need to really carefully now.

RCN general secretary Pat Cullen is to warn that double the number of nurses could walk out for the next strike in fight for better pay.

It's about time legal action was taken. The public do NOT support your strike despite what you say.

The government will take a nursing union to court next week in an attempt to stop its latest strike action.

The worst part is that there are people out there who actually support these morons and think they deserve the 35% rise!!

J. Boddicker - polite suggestion, think about the reasons people might support it. Please be kind these people are in many cases working huge hours, remember we all clapped for them when it suited.

Yes, there are also people working huge hours who are paid even less and work even harder but actually CANNOT strike. Have you ever thought about them? And for your information, thankfully, I didn't clap for these idiots.

there are different professions who rightly are paid differently. there are many people including my husband who have worked very long hours (similar to this profession), so yes I have thought about them. My husband and I who have worked extremely hard all our lives value these people including the sheer amount of learning they undertake to ensure they can look after our medical needs.

Please reconsider the word you use to describe these people they might read your comment.

I'm hoping that they DO read my comments and all the others on here that don't support them and these strikes. Maybe then they will get an idea of what honest people actually think of them.

well darling a huge number of us honest people appreciate them - over and out, I have no time for people who have no consideration for the sheer amount of time and dedication the medical profession show YOU despite your stance and the rest of us.

The 'junior doctors' lost the argument when they made unrealistic, foolish and downright greedy demands. That's why they deserve to be insulted. And the longer they draw it out, the more insulted they will get by people.

Well, thankfully people with your opinion are well in the minority, Jane. The longer this is drawn out, the less support they will get. Hopefully, they will end up having to go back to work with nothing.

I didn't clap them once, do you clap every time you use your mobile phone for the harsh conditions the riggers work in on the masts and the deaths and injuries, well of course you do not, just one example and there are many, many others that die doing their job that you do not even know about but make your life work.

Who said they'd be without jobs? If they don't get what they want, they will have to go back to work eventually. Just without their DEMANDED 35% pay rise.

have you or your family including close friends been in the situation you describe? If yes I appreciate your stance.
Next question what about all the cancelled operations due to covid? Would you feel differently if these people didn't want a decent pay rise? What do you deem to be okay?

You and I are never going to agree, I support a decent pay rise for these professional people.

But surely, people become doctors and nurses because they want to HELP people? They don't do it for the money. No-one ever forces them to choose a medical career. They should know what it entails, including the work and pay involved before they make the decision to choose that particular career. It's exactly the same with the teaching profession.

Anyone can see that 35% is 'a try on' and utterly unrealistic!
It's nothing more than a smoke screen to anarchy and an attempt to destroy government by the militant left!

Take home pay of a junior doctor is £1874 a month for a flat month (36 hour week, x 4). Makes you laugh when the gold pension boomers complain when they had it so easy.

The basic silence by Labour tells you where all this is coming from apart from Rayner saying, Labour will give the unions what they want'. Well good luck to all of us.

The figure mentioned in one year is unachievable, however a lower figure over multiple years isn't. How many people have been offered decent pay rises over multiple years with the overall rate given as the pay rise.

Do I think they should have 35% in one year? Of course not but they need to start somewhere, where is the consideration for all there huge work during covid?

Mad as it might seem, if a rise was offered over say five years it could be deemed doable. Don't forget lots of companies give pay rises over a couple of years then hail the total value - just saying.

If you enter hospital via any means, the vast majority of Dr's you will encounter are what they call junior Dr's. That ranges from newly qualified Dr''s to senior registrars who may be running your local A and E or operating on your vital organs.

The Tories want you to believe these people are no more than noisy students. Ask questions and don't believe them when they try to misinform you.

Remember, they have ruined us for 13 years. They really do have to answer for that at the ballot box.

So why didn't the BMA fight for inflation-equaling pay rises over the last 15years? They obviously just accepted what was offered at the time. Should have stood up to the government before now

A new poll has found that readers believe that an above-inflation pay rise for junior doctors is unrealistic, despite the demand from their union.

Selfish, Greedy and absolutely uncaring and feel nothing about placing patients, including children at risk of harm and death. It is your actions that will lead to Death of the NHS and private health sector getting public government contract to treat NHS patients.

Are you a 'doctor' or 'Nurse' who is striking or 'Nurse' who voted to continue the strike? Because clearly you are neither but what you are is absolutely a selfish uncaring murder of patients that include not just adults but children to, by your actions and knowingly this be the result of your actions. You are very delusional to believe you have the support of the general public. Your actions in taking this strike and continuing the strike will be the "Death of the NHS" as we know it with private section being brought in to treat patients under a new system that allows NHS patients to be treated privately with government funding. This is the free system most other EU Countries have and is cost affective to tax payer. If the government gives in to your unreasonable demands and threats then it would have to give in to every other public servant demands.

The fact is all patients have a right for religious contact while in hospitals but the NHS Trust is right to say Religion have no status in the NHS when it comes to Equality & Diversity because a hospital is about medical care and treatments and NOT one religious views or beliefs.

Any person who acts in the way some Doctors/Healthcare profession as detailed in this case would in normal circumstance be charged with murder at the very most. we place to much trust in our doctors/healthcare professional believing they have our interest at heart, but sadly it certainly not true and you must listen to that inner voice in your brain and all question, question and question the action of the medical profession. Never agree to a DNRCPR (also known as DNR) and check this is NOT on your medical record and your family knows you actual wishes.

Families of the most vulnerable patients must be told if a relative is placed on end-of-life care, lawyers will argue in a landmark legal case.

Clearly the Tory's have now totally loss the plot. People already for GP appointments and A & E visits and appointments. To make a charge undermines the reasons of creating the NHS and frankly it would mean people just not going for health care and would become more unwell. Lets also face the fact getting GP appointments is hard now and additional fees would not change this. The government (whoever in Office) should be looking at current funding of the NHS and the amount NHS Officials are wasting. Cuts there will allow more funding for patients care and where necessary increase nursing pay. Until recently I was a member of the Conservative party and not withstanding their increasing membership and way they treating everyday citizens have be left with no choice but to stop my membership fees. I shall not be voting for any in next election nor will I vote for Labour because they all only think about themselves and not the public who are suffering.

Sajid Javid has said patients should be charged for GP appointments and A&E visits, as he called the current model of the NHS "unsustainable".

Doctors and Nurses wish to strike and if they consider it fine to do so, should we the 'Patients' who pay for NHS services have the right now to go for private healthcare and treatment and send the private Invoice to the NHS. My point is we all pay via National Insurance and this we have no choice but to pay. It seems therefore we have entered to a 'Legal Contract' agreement by paying for NHS Services which is not free since we all pay and if they strike we either get our money back or we should be able to have same treatment & services privately at their own funding.

In the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association ballot, 97.48 per cent of its members voted in favour of striking
