It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know today that, going forward, Ignite is unable to offer any more school workshops for the foreseeable future.

With Wellbeing funding being completely cut for Primary and Post-Primary Schools, the decisions have been taken out of their hands and schools are unable to even consider booking until later on in the financial year.

As a self-run business, this has made it financially impossible for us to continue to function and I have had to make the very difficult decision to look for work elsewhere 💔

I would like to thank the countless schools, teachers and students who have supported us over the last couple of years. I have loved building those relationships and enjoyed every single second of working with you all. I only hope that things will turn around in the future and I will be able to laugh, play games, tell silly stories and deliver meaningful mental health and wellbeing workshops with you all once more!

We are still available to youth groups, sports clubs etc for bookings in the evenings, we just can no longer offer workshops during working hours.

Thank you all for everything and as I’ve said, It’s not Goodbye
it’s see you in a little while 💛

Thank you so much to for inviting us along to work with their brilliant Year 8 & 9 students over the past few days!

We delivered workshops all to do with Bullying and how our words and actions can impact other people. We looked at all the different challenges that people of their age could be facing and also realised that every person we meet is trying to deal with their own challenges so we should always treat people how we would like to be treated.

We learnt that we are all capable of kindness and that we can also all make mistakes but it’s what we do after that, accepting responsibility and trying our best to make up for those mistakes, that count!

A huge thank you also to Aoife for coming along and giving us a very welcome helping hand 💛

On Wednesday we were delighted to be invited along to Knocknagin PS, Desertmartin.

We delivered our Building Resilience workshops to all classes from P3-P7, talking through making mistakes, accepting them and using them to improve. We talked all about overcoming challenges, how we need to keep trying when we find something difficult and not being afraid to ask for help when we need it. This was then reinforced through our blindfolded obstacle course where we had plenty of laughs 😂

Thank you so much for having us!

đŸ€© What a brilliant morning we have just had! đŸ€©

Today we worked with all the Primary Seven pupils across the four primary schools of Glenann PS, St. Mary's PS & Nursery Unit Cushendall, St Ciaran's Primary School and St. Patrick’s PS, Glenariff!

Today our theme was all to do with Resilience, with the added focus of transitioning to Secondary School. We played lots of games and challenges and then discussed the importance of keeping trying when we can’t get things immediately and bouncing back when things don’t always go the way we’d like them to!

We talked all about what our talents are and also the things we find difficult inside and outside of school. We got to listen to what everyone is looking forward to when it comes to changing schools and also the things that we may be nervous or worried about.

As always, the kids were outstanding and really gave everything their best effort. It felt like a full circle moment for us as St. Ciaran’s PS was the first ever primary school we ever had the pleasure of working with so we were over the moon to get to see everyone again 💛

We can’t wait to see everyone again on the 22nd for the second part of our transition and resilience training! đŸ’Ș

Another brilliant new school we had the pleasure to work with today đŸ„ł

Thanks to St. Louise’s Comprehensive College, Belfast for inviting us in today to deliver workshops to all Year 8 students.

Today’s focus was all to do with Resilience and Control. We talked about how not everything is going to go the way we would like it to and that we can be in control of how we react, our effort, our attitude and our behaviour!

A fantastic group of young people and we hope see you all again soon! 💛

What a day we had today, spent with the Year 8 boys of St. Malachy's College, Belfast 😆

Never a dull moment with these lads as they always give of their very best during our workshops!

We discussed all about taking responsibility for our own actions and effort, about overcoming challenges and building resilience and also being grateful for all the opportunities that come our way!

As always, thanks for having us back as every rebooking means the world 💛

📣 New School Alert! 📣

Nothing makes us happier than being invited into a school for the first time â˜ș new faces, new opinions and new outlooks!

This week we spent two fantastic days in St Benedict's College, Randalstown working with the Year 11 and Year 12 students.

Their chosen workshop themes were all to do with resilience, adapting when things aren’t going how we’d like them to, fear of failure and exam pressure.

They gave their all and we were glad to hear someone say, “well that was a reality check!” đŸ’Ș

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks!

Delighted to be invited back to work with the Year 13 students in St. Mary's Grammar School, Magherafelt.

Lots of discussions surrounding what we have control of and to work hard towards what we want to achieve in life.

Taking advantage of every opportunity that comes our way and to focus on being kind to ourselves when we make mistakes.

A brilliant group to work with, thank you so much for having us back! 💛

We were delighted to be invited back to St. Patrick's High School Keady this week.

This time we were delivering workshops to the girls in Year 9&10 chatting all about body image 💛

The girls were brilliant to work with and we had open and honest conversations about what affects how we see and feel about our bodies and the physiological and psychological impacts not looking after our bodies can have.

It takes time and effort to feel happy and content in the body we have so realising that we are all born perfectly imperfect is a great place to start đŸ’Ș

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend Children’s Mental Health Week 2023!

We have just spent the last 4 days with the brilliant students of Antrim Grammar School and to say it was jam-packed would be an understatement!

We had the pleasure of delivering not one but two workshops to every Year 8 & 9 class in the school. We covered topics such as Bullying, how our words and our actions can massively impact others. We discussed resilience, overcoming challenges and how there is no shame in making mistakes.

Thank you so much for having us and enjoy your half-term break! 💛

If you would like to book us for workshops with your young people, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email or check out our website.

This week is a very important week in Ignite’s Wellbeing Calendar!

It’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 with the fantastic theme of ‘Let’s Connect’!

Here at Ignite, within our workshops, we promote how important healthy friendships are, what characteristics make us good friends and how important it is to never let anyone feel excluded.

We know that we can be different in many, many ways but deep down we all have the same heart so respect is very important to us 💛

We love to shine a light on what makes our young people special and unique and help them realise that we can all make mistakes but it’s important to use these mistakes to improve and succeed.

We ensure that conversation is our primary tool within all our workshops! Speaking, talking, having these conversations with our young people will help them build positive, healthy relationships with others and within themselves!

So this week and beyond, ‘Let’s Connect’ and ‘Reach Out’ and have a conversation with the young people within our lives 💛

It’s getting close to that time of year again
when all schools are trying to figure out how to spend the last of their funding before the end of the financial year!

Why not consider something really beneficial for your students and book Ignite Wellbeing Workshops! We cover lots of different themes for both Primary and Post-Primary.

Our workshops are fun, interactive and have a real focus on helping your students develop the tools they need to navigate the coming years!

We also work with youth groups, community groups, sports teams etc outside of the classroom.

Check out our website for more information and reviews from other schools and organisations we have previously worked with - we can’t wait to meet you 💛
