T/W miscarriage and pregnancy after loss

I’ve been keeping a little something very much under wraps on here. I’m currently just over 23 weeks pregnant and this pregnancy has felt like something I’ve wanted to keep off social media, until now.

Last summer I experienced another miscarriage and it was so different to the first, but equally as brutal. It’s so much harder to have the space to grieve when you have a child already to take care of. I had so many signs that the bubba was meant to be (I wrote literal PAGES of them in my journal) that I was just completely taken aback when they didn’t make it through.

This of course, led to the start of this current babes journey feeling very dark and uncertain. I experienced really low mood, I felt depressed, which in turn made me feel enormous guilt.

To add to this I had a lot of hurdles to jump through within our healthcare system, which led to a disconnection from this babe in case they weren’t well (on top of various other recommendations/pressure from various midwives owing to my previous traumatic birth with Ida) aaaaand even more guilt.

Anyway, that is all behind me now. Babe is healthy and jumping around, using my placenta as a punch bag 🥊 I feel super lucky to have the support of some amazing local mamas I’ve met down here, as well as Adam and I being supported by the incredible Betty and Lucy of - plus the literal army of women they have introduced me to 🌸

Sharing this to say if you’re also finding your journey to being a mama hard or you’re pregnant following a loss - I see you and I am here for you.

Please reach out as I am always open to chat about it all.

Sending love,
Jen 💕💕💕

🌸 DATE CHANGE 🌸

I am beyond excited to announce that I will be teaching Reiki again, starting this May with Reiki level 1 - Shoden.

Reiki has been truly transformative for me personally, as well as people I have had the privilege of sharing Reiki healing with. It never ever ceases to amaze me just how empowering it can be to have Reiki in our wellbeing toolkit.

Reiki 1 is traditionally taught over two days and we begin May 17th & 18th with Shoden level - the first teachings. Shoden level is all about self-development, connecting to our intuition and learning how to channel this powerful, yet gentle life-force energy that is all around us.

I keep class sizes to a minimum to ensure they are intimate and personable. 6 spaces are available for level 1.

Wow wow. Only just coming round from the most beautiful mini retreat day for mamas 🥹

The loveliest group of mums joined us, all at different stages of motherhood - from pregnancy to toddlers to teens to adults!

We shared, we journalled, we meditated and we moved together. We drank sacred cacao and indulged in a gorgeous sound bath from whilst I shared Reiki with everyone.

It really is powerful when women come together, and so important for mums to have the space to share wisdom and be nurtured 🌱

Watch this space for more mother focussed gatherings. 💫

👉🏼

Huge gratitude to Gina from for the use of her beautiful studio.

Drop me a message if you want to know when the next gatherings will be happening!

So much love 💜🌷🌞

How do you fill up your cup?

I mean, as a mum, it feels like an impossible task. I literally feel like I don’t have any time. In fact, it’s not just mums, I know Adam feels like this too as a dad.

We often let ourselves hit burn out before we realise what we need to do. Taking time for ourselves can be something like a nice beauty treatment, or a coffee (without children) with a friend. But, if you’re like me and spend the majority of your time with your child, these opportunities can be quite rare.

Trying to find magic in the mundane and pockets of joy in the chaos of life can help you fill up your cup on a day to day basis, until you’re able to have that solo time and indulge in a spa day or a sauna or drinks with friends.

If you’re feeling ready for that solo time and want to meet like-minded mamas, I’m co-creating a very special event for mums at all stages of motherhood, where you’ll be held in a safe and nurturing space, and be able to receive lots of holistic healing & tools to fill your cup up right to the toppppp.

Link in bio to book or send me a DM if you want to know anything at all ###
