Lynfield had an extra special visit from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and what a fantastic time we all had! 🚒🔥

The morning was packed with fun as we welcomed the firefighters into our home. We showed them around, chatted about what Lynfield is all about, who we support, and gave them an insight into learning disabilities and the amazing work we do at Kingsley Specialist Services.

Our Home Manager, Katie, and Jane, our PBS Practitioner, also got the chance to learn all about the firefighters' job roles and the challenges they face!

But the real excitement kicked off when they set up the fire engine! The people we support had the chance to explore the equipment, try on the firefighter's hat, and even have a go with the hose — there were plenty of big smiles and lots of fun!

One of the firefighters commented, “The home is very clean and tidy, looks lovely and welcoming and all fire procedures are perfect!”

A huge thank you to Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service for such a memorable morning — the people we support absolutely loved every minute 💜🙌

**HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO CYPRESS HOUSE**

We had special visitors Minnie mouse Mickey Mouse and spider Man, DJ Kev, and guess the amount of sweets in a jar which Sheila had won a service users mum from The Laurels.

We enjoyed shloer on arrival and jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings, with potato salad and pasta salad, Made by Tilly, Danielle and Bradley.

We had a thank you speech from our Manager Toni, the home was filled with Love and Laughter!

A massive Thank you too all our staff, service users and their families for all there hard work and support.

Here’s to Cypress house 1 year on! 🥳🥳

Our wonderful resident Jackie has spent time knitting a beautiful baby blanket for the manager's new grandson Ronnie 💜

Jackie was supported by her sister to line and add the details to the blanket which I hope you agree is just wonderful.

The manager Laura has said how talented Jackie is and this blanket will certainly come in handy and feels very privileged that Jackie wanted to do this and this just shows the wonderful family ethos that we have at Wisteria House.

Jackie spent a long time getting the blanket ready is is very excited to see Ronnie benefitting from it.

The manager at Wisteria House has a new baby grandson; Ronnie Jay was born 31/03/25 and came for a visit today as the ladies were all excited to meet him 💜

The ladies got to have a cuddle and said how cute he is and look forward to his next visit, Laura's daughter Sacha said this will be very soon.

Our Cypress House Mother's Day get together! 👏🌷

We had a frank Sinatra tribute, shloer on arrival and afternoon tea.

Many thanks to the families that came and enjoyed the lovely party, and many thanks to the staff for going above and beyond as always it was lovely to spend the afternoon together 🌞💜

Lou has been working hard on her numeracy and money skills in partnership with Leading Lives 👏

We are delighted that Lou has successfully passed the course and test and has received a certificate of achievement! 🏆

Lou said she was very nervous before her test but is over the moon that she passed and her certificate will be displayed within the home.

A very big congratulations and a reminder to us all that we can achieve things if we work hard at it 😍
