On Saturday night the guitars were dusted off - as a little tribute to our pal Ian 🥁

We invited a few old uni pals to join us and treated ourselves to a couple of beverages 🍻

Fair to say it was an emotional rollercoaster 🎢

A room full of people sharing stories, memories and a lot of love ❤️

Some hadn't seen each other for 20 odd years, but it felt like yesterday.

The thing about great friendship is that even when life, distance and time get in the way, you still pick up from where you left off.

There's no sales pitch here - although our new pad makes a cracking gig venue 😂

This is just a little nudge to pick up the phone and tell your mates how smashing they are ☎️

We're an art gallery 🎨

Well just for the weekend 🗓️

All the artwork was produced by our pal Stephen Yardleys very talented mum and this is his tribute weekend to her.

All the art is for sale and all proceeds are supporting ourselves and Pendleside Hospice 🙏

ONE Slater Terrace looks amazing so why not come down, have a look and treat yourself.

Local scenes, bums and b***s was how it was described earlier so there really is something for everyone 👀

Friday 3.30 till 8.00 and Saturday 10:00 till 2:00

We've even got a Moorhouse's Brewery beer to on tap to mark the occasion 🍻

Community is the new black 🟠⚫

COMMUNITY certainly feels like the new buzz word 🤔

Which I'm more than ok with.

I think community might be my THING ♥️

I've spent the last few years...

1. Trying my hardest to build one.
2. Hanging about in some great ones.
3. Helping people shape some new ones.

Often people see community as BIG and LOUD.

For me it's all about SPACE 🚀

Loud or quiet. Big or small.

A space where you feel comfortable - with people you feel comfortable with 😍

Community comes in all shapes and sizes.

And my little tip...they aren't all for you 😲

So to all the people building community - I salute you 🙏

To all those enjoying one - well played.

To those searching - let's have a natter I know some belters ✅

On't Turf this afternoon 🟣🔵

We've always said we wanted to be on the terraces every weekend.

That's where people are - so that's where we need to be.

Conversations about mental health can sit happily alongside a bene and hot before the game or a pie at half time.

If we talk about this stuff when we are ok, I am convinced it will be more comfortable if the challenges come in.

Grab a *other hot beverages are available and ask your mate how they are doing.

We did a THING!

To be honest it's taken a little time to unpack the opening of our new space.

Nº1 Slater Terrace /// has pushed and pulled in many directions 🎢

And I wasn't really sure how to express what it means to us or our thanks.

Then we got the photos ❤️

We could tell you about podcasting, co-working, a meeting space or a bar.

ALL of which are mint btw 👍

But that isn't what it's about.

It's not what we are about.

Nº1 Slater Terrace /// is ALL about people 👌

The people who showed up and laughed and smiled and talked together 💬

The people who helped build it (it really has been Powered By Mates) 🔨

The people who checked in and gave cuddles on the way 🥰

We'll talk more about the space over the next few weeks and how you can use it but for now all we want to say is come and see it because it's ACE!
