We live in a fast-paced world that is advancing at an extraordinary pace, in every way. We learn that in order to succeed we must work every hour God sends. Buy buy buy,
sell sell sell! Time is money!
But that's just not true.
Humans aren't meant to live life in the fast lane, 100% of the
time. That's not how nature works and since we're a part of nature it must be true that we are built to move in the same way.
Nature ebbs and flows. It breathes in and out. It's abundant and sparse. It's light and it's dark. It's fast and it's slow.
It's in constant motion, but not continually at the same
pace.
Autumn is a time for preparation, Winter is a time for hunkering
down and conserving energy, Spring is a time for growth and new beginnings and Summer is a time for abundance.
It's useful to see these shifts in energy and being. It reminds us of the natural flow of life. There will be times when it serves us to speed up and use our logical brain to get things done, but there are also times when it serves us better to slow down so we can access our wisdom and creativity.
This isn't woo-woo stuff. In fact, it couldn't be more natural.
But over time, we've forgotten who we really are and how we really operate. We just need to get back into the flow of life; and every sunrise and sunset, every awesome rainbow, every leaf that falls and every tide that turns, are all opportunities for us to remember our true nature. ๐ณ
