SVC Safety Solutions is more than just a Business-to-Business (B2B) health & safety solutions provider. We partner with our clients to provide a personal and flexible Human-to-Human (H2H) service. We free people to focus on their business and celebrate their success, while we look after what they find difficult and we love to do. Yes, we genuinely love to help our clients with their complex and time-consuming health and safety problems. These can be business-critical problems with a huge impact on business success. Our philosophy is simple, we work on the principle that if clients love what we do, they will stay with us. It is this that drives us to provide them with what they need with superb customer service. Unlike some health & safety service providers, we do not lock our clients into draconian long-term contracts with a one-size-fits-all service. SVC Safety Solutions LLP was founded in 2018 by joint managing partners Paul Goodchild and Amanda Coulson. However, its roots are as a value-added health & safety service for many years. This was as SVC Health & Safety - a division of SVC, where Amanda is CEO and Paul is the MD. It was time to turn health & safety into a successful stand-alone business. This was due to:

• A proven track record with a diverse client base

Did you know that you should be testing your Metalworking Fluids? The HSE is currently entering premises to make sure you are!!!

Metalworking Fluids (MWFs) are water based fluid or neat oils that are used for lubrication cooling during machine shaping, sometimes referred to as coolants.

The main risks associated with MWFs are:
- irritation to the skin and or dermatitis through contact with unprotected skin
- breathing difficulties, occupational asthma, lung diseases and bronchitis through
inhalation of mists during operations

What can you do:
- have a suitable & sufficient risk assessment in place
- maintain the fluid/coolant quality by carrying out bacterial contamination weekly
tests
- prevent exposure to airborne mists generated
- carry out health surveillance for your staff if required
