📚 Updated Guidance: Children Missing Education 📚
The Department for Education has recently updated the Children Missing Education (CME) Statutory Guidance to help schools, local authorities, and professionals better identify and support children who are not receiving suitable education.

🔍 Key updates include:
🟣Clearer definitions of who is considered CME
🟣Strengthened guidance on safeguarding and information sharing
🟣New sections on children at risk of harm, temporary accommodation, and school attendance orders
🟣Emphasis on early intervention and multi-agency collaboration

The Council for Disabled Children (CDC) has developed a suite of online training for CDC members, affiliated organisations and services, and parent carers. The courses have been developed to improve knowledge, understanding and practical skills and support in range of key areas that impact children and young people, particularly those who are disabled or with special educational needs.
