Jennifer Rose Counselling & Psychotherapy Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Creating a space for all things
mental health, self-care & therapy.

I offer both counselling (a brief treatment that targets a specific symptom or situation) and psychotherapy (a longer-term treatment that attempts to gain more insight into your life, relationships and problems); in person and online. I also offer Ecotherapy (this is when we walk & talk in nature). I work by using psychological methods to provide you with a safe and confidential space to discuss y

our problems or concerns, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help you understand yourself and others better. It’s not always easy to ask for help, but seeking therapy can be a positive step towards finding a new or different way of living and being. Contact me today to arrange a free introductory 15-minute phone call.

As Wellbeing Week draws to a close, we invite you to pause… and breathe.

Box breathing — a simple, powerful technique — helps bring balance and calm, even after the busiest of weeks.

Inhale for four.
Hold for four.
Exhale for four.
Hold for four.
Repeat.

This steady rhythm supports your nervous system, offering clarity, focus, and a sense of control.

A perfect way to honour the end of Wellbeing Week — with intention, breath, and care for yourself. 🌿

Let your breath grow wings. 🦋
With each inhale, lift.
With each exhale, soften.

Butterfly breaths invite calm through movement and breath —
a simple way to ground, soothe, and reconnect.

Perfect for little moments of peace during Wellbeing Week.
Gentle. Light. Healing.

Balance your breath, calm your mind this Wellbeing Week.
Nostril breathing soothes the nervous system, bringing clarity, focus, and peace — one gentle inhale at a time. 🌬️

26/06/2025

Two breaths in. One breath out.
A rhythm nature wrote into our bodies —
the sigh of relief, the soft undoing.

Inhale once…
then again, a little more.
Exhale slowly.
Feel the weight begin to melt.

This simple breath resets the nervous system —
a pause, a release,
a quiet return to centre.

Try it with me this Wellbeing Week —
because even the smallest breath can carry you back to calm. 🌬️

This Wellbeing Week, take a moment to just… breathe. 🌬️
Each breath is an invitation to come home to yourself — to pause, reset, and reconnect.

Throughout the week, I’ll be sharing simple breathwork exercises to support calm, clarity, and emotional balance. No equipment, no experience needed — just your breath and a few quiet moments.

Let’s slow down together and breathe our way to better wellbeing. 💛

💛 It’s Not Just for One Week

As Mental Health Awareness Week comes to a close, I want to gently remind you:
your mental health matters every single day.

Whether you’ve made a small change, tried something new, or simply taken a moment to pause this week — that matters. Tiny steps add up.

As a counsellor, Menopause Wellness Coach, and Ecotherapist, I’m here to remind you that support is always available — whether you need a quiet chat, a walk in nature, or help navigating life’s bigger challenges.

If this week has stirred something for you, or you’ve realised you might like a little extra support, I offer free 15-minute consultations to see how we can work together.

Let’s keep this conversation going.
You are worthy of care, today and every day. 💛

Take care of yourself — you matter.

🌿 Thrive with Nature

Nature has a way of grounding us, calming busy minds, and helping us feel more connected — both to ourselves and the world around us. Even small moments outside can lift our mood, reduce stress, and ease anxiety.

As an Ecotherapist (which is just a fancy way to say walk and talk counsellor in nature 🌳), I see first-hand how powerful it can be to step away from the four walls of a room and into open, calming spaces.
Whether it’s walking through a park, sitting by the water, or simply pausing under the trees — nature makes space for clearer thinking, emotional release, and gentle healing.

If you’re curious about Walk and Talk Therapy or how nature could support your mental wellbeing, I offer free 15-minute consultations — I’d love to chat.

And if you’d like some extra ideas, the Mental Health Foundation has a wonderful guide:
📖 Thriving With Nature

Let nature be part of your self-care. 💛
