A little bit of information about the types of injection we offer:

Cortisone is the most common type of injection and can work well in both arthritis and tendonitis. When injected, cortisone is an anti-inflammatory drug that will reduce inflammation and swelling in tendons and joints. Usually, cortisone injection benefits begin after about one week and can last up to 3 months.

Durolane (Hyaluronic acid) acts as a joint lubricant, it also supports the joint space, helping aid shock absorption and can be an effective option in the management of arthritis. Unlike cortisone, the effect of hyaluronic acid is not immediate. It often takes up to 4 weeks to notice an impact. However, the result usually lasts longer than cortisone averaging 6 to 12 months.

Arthrosamid is an intra-articular polyacrylamide hydrogel injection (iPAAG) for the symptomatic treatment of knee osteoarthritis, it is non-degradable, meaning the body does not break it down. Once injected into the knee joint it improves lubrication and cushioning of the joint and can reduce pain, decrease stiffness, and help movement. It can take 4 weeks to reduce pain levels and can last up to 2 years.
