Bibury walk 1 from the app. The countryside around Bibury is just as beautiful as the village, there is so much more to explore 😀

The Bibury walk was muddy in places and a short section of the road and path above Arlington Row was closed, however, there are alternative routes through the village.

The weather is looking nice this weekend so we will be out exploring 😀

Unfortunately this walk was a bit flooded in places and a path has been closed, but it's still a lovely short river walk if you want to visit the pretty market town of Fairford and stroll along the river and back again.

Here are some pics from the lovely Slad Valley walk 2 on the Gloucestershire Walks app. It's been a bit wet, muddy and grey this week but that didn't stop us enjoying the beautiful scenery on this walk. Also, the pub in Slad was wonderful, so much character and the food was yummy!

Good afternoon! 🌞

It's been a while since we've posted, but we would now like to share some really exciting news with you...

We have been working hard on a new update for the Gloucestershire Walks app with loads of new walks, and we are planning to release it this summer!

As we are based near Cirencester, we are currently out and about searching for new walks and eventually we want to try and find every good walk there is to find in Gloucestershire. You can see some of the team at work in the photos attached, enjoying the stunning views up on Leckhampton Hill.

We already have 150 walks on the app, but we know there are loads more out there, and we want your help discovering them.

So, we've just created a brand new Facebook group for you to join where you can share your walking adventure photos with the group, and offer your recommendations, ideas and photos from your favourite walks around the county.

We will then investigate the walks to see if we can add them to the app over time! Here's the group:

We've been out in the sunshine this week enjoying some lovely walks and here are a few pics from one of our walks around Crickley Hill.

The views at Crickley Hill are amazing and on a clear day you can see the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Malvern Hills! Also, when it's a hot day, the welcome shaded woodland is wonderful.

As a special thanks for your support, feedback and patience whilst we built this app, we are currently offering you all a full 30 day free trial on the app if you subscribe. This means you can try out the app and enjoy any of the 150 walks for free, for a whole month, while we’re having all of this lovely weather.

One of the unique elements of the Gloucestershire Walking app will be the post-walk feedback form.

Users will be able to quickly answer some questions on the app once they have done a walk and this will help us to categorise various elements of each walk as the app develops (Buggy Friendliness/Dog Friendliness/Walk Difficulty/Temporary Path Issues etc).

We have come up with 13 questions that we think are important and you can see these in the screenshots attached. Can you tell us in the comments which of these are the most important to you and can you think of any other useful questions to ask?
