Due to unforeseen circumstances, Oriel Surgery will be operating a strictly “emergency only” service this week. This is due to factors beyond our control and we appreciate your understanding at this time. Routine and non-urgent requests will have to be deferred.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact us as early as possible in the day.

For non-urgent matters, we kindly ask that you try again at a later date or use another NHS agency like Phone First or Accident and Emergency for advice.

Oriel Surgery will be closed for the July Bank Holiday next Monday 14th. Please ensure you order any repeat medication in time to be processed .

NI Water are starting a program me of works on the Oriel Road from Monday 23rd June lasting 12-14 weeks. There will be localized lane closures with traffic lights to help maintain access. Please give plenty of time when attending the surgery for appointments, but hopefully traffic will be lighter anyway with schools closing for the summer break. 🙂

Oriel surgery will be closed for the end of may bank holiday on 26th May 2025. Dalriada will provide strictly emergency only cover from 8.30 - 6pm.

Oriel Surgery will be operating an Emergency Service only on the afternoon of Wednesday 21st May 25 from 1pm - 6pm due to staff training.

Oriel Surgery will be closed on Monday 5th for the May Day bank holiday. Please order any repeat prescriptions today if possible to avoid an overload in demand tomorrow. Dalriada Urgent Care will be covering for emergencies on Monday but as always we ask that you only contact the Out of Hours service for anything that can’t wait until we reopen on Tuesday 6th . Oriel Surgery will be closed on Easter Monday and Tuesday. Daltiada Urgent Care will provide emergency cover, as usual, but only for medical problems that cannot wait until we reopen on Wednesday 23rd. Thank you and enjoy the holidays.

We are unable to access voice messages left on our prescription line since 5.30 yesterday, although this issue will be resolved, the engineers are treating it as a priority, we would ask anyone who needs medication urgently, please call us and speak to a member of staff today or email directly to scripts.Z00308@gp.hscni.net. Sorry for the inconvenience folks

Thank you to all of our patients who have been very understanding today when we had to adopt our business continuity plan, and a big thank you to our rostered staff who worked tirelessly from home this morning and took the risk of driving into oriel this afternoon. Team work makes the dream work, and thankfully we have it in spades. Stay safe

We hope to resume normal service when the worst passes and it is safe to do so.
