Words That Shape Your Reality

The subconscious mind doesn’t reason. It doesn’t question. It simply accepts.

So when you call the gym a “torture chamber” (even jokingly), your body listens.
Your motivation shrinks. Resistance grows.

The other day, a woman in the locker room said exactly that—and I smiled, replying: “I actually call it the pleasure dome.”

Because the subconscious doesn’t understand sarcasm. It absorbs whatever you repeat.

Call movement painful, and it will be.
Call it empowering, and something shifts.

Your words are seeds. Your subconscious is the soil.
Be intentional about what you plant.

Speak to your body like it’s listening.
Because it is.

The gym is a mirror.

Just because you’re moving, doesn’t mean you’re growing.

Last week I trained with a friend. New exercises, heavier lifts, a different energy.
And wow—did it reflect something deeper.
➡️ I realised how easy it is to coast.

➡️ To stop stretching ourselves—physically and emotionally.

Birthday Reflections: Lessons, Letting Go & Becoming

Another trip around the sun 🌞
This year has stretched me, softened me, and brought me home to myself in new ways.
I submitted my MSc dissertation as a one-woman research team, left a job that no longer aligned with my values, and finally let myself play, rest, dance, and love more deeply.

I’ve learned that:
💫 Boundaries aren’t walls—they’re invitations to meet myself with care
💫 Healing is nonlinear, and that’s okay
💫 I don’t need to prove my worth—I just need to remember it!

I spent my birthday near the coast, soaking in the salt air, giving myself some much-needed TLC. No pressure, no performance. Just me, honouring this tender, powerful transition into a new year of life.

Did you know? 🌸🌰
The horse chestnut tree — with its candle-like blooms and spiky conker-covered fruits — is not only one of the most beautiful sights in spring and autumn, it’s also one of my favourite trees to watch through the seasons.

Right now, she’s in full bloom… and it’s hard not to stop and stare.

But beyond her beauty, horse chestnut is actually one of the biggest pollinator trees in the UK, providing nectar-rich flowers for bees, especially in early spring when food is scarce. Nature’s timing is always perfect. 🐝

In herbal medicine, I use horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) mainly for supporting circulation, particularly for conditions like varicose veins, haemorrhoids, and chronic venous insufficiency. The active compound aescin helps tone the veins and reduce inflammation.

It’s a reminder that so much of what we need for healing is already growing around us — if we slow down and notice. 🌿
