Not everyone has the luxury of living near a 24-hour gym — or even a choice of gyms. For some, the local gym might only be open at times that just don’t work with your schedule.

If you want to train at home but aren’t sure where to start, I often get asked: “What equipment is worth having at home?”

Here’s a small selection of versatile options that won’t take over your living room:

💪 Resistance bands – super versatile, train your whole body, take up next to no space, and even travel well for holidays.

🏋️ Adjustable dumbbells or kettlebells – perfect for full-body strength training without needing a whole rack of weights.

📏 Step or bench – great for cardio workouts, strength exercises, and adding variety to your routine.

If you’re thinking of buying any of these, don’t forget to check second-hand options on Marketplace or eBay — or you can get new ones online at reasonable prices.

Want to take your fitness, health, and body transformation seriously but don’t have access to a gym? You can make it happen at home. If you’re not sure where to start, take the first step and get in touch with me.

If you’ve been secretly missing my elbows digging into your muscles (be honest, you know you have 😉), then you’ll be pleased to know appointments are officially reopening.

📅 Spaces will be limited, so if your body’s been crying out for a bit of tough love, now’s the time to book in.

🔥 Meet these incredible ladies! 🔥

These powerhouse women, aged between 70 and 79, have been showing up to our over-60’s gym sessions twice a week and absolutely crushing their goals. 💪

Out of the three, only one had any prior weightlifting experience — the others were total beginners when it came to strength training. But they’ve been putting in the hard work and just smashed their April targets! 👏

✅ Deadlift: 60kg
✅ Squat: 35kg
✅ Bench Press: 30kg

One of them even deadlifted 12kg more than her body weight! 😱

They support and encourage each other every week, and their dedication is beyond inspiring. 🙌

So, next time you think you can’t do something because of your age or because it's new to you... think again! 💥 The only thing standing in your way is YOU!

We also have an over 60's gym session which runs on a Monday and Thursday at 11.30am, Thursdays session is followed by a coffee in the Salty Dog Cafe @ MAC Pool
