Including visual disabilities, hearing impairment and physical disabilities.

The app has 3 versions:

Primary (aged 6 – 11)
Secondary (aged 11 – 17)

Our very own Claire Buckle was awarded Woman In Digital 2024 at the She Inspires awards last night.

Our visual impairment module in the Xplore DisAbility app is a great learning tool to help understand a small part of daily lives for those with various eye conditions.

This module was recently tested out at a local school whilst being filmed by the BBC, and we got some great feedback from the students who used the app to look at a book and discover exactly what they could or couldn’t see. One pupil said, “The book looked bigger than it actually was, and I couldn't see any of the words”. The app is helping people to understand the difficulties faced by others.

Did you know that our Xplore DisAbility app fits perfectly in with many PSHE topics, including community, family and relationships, inclusion, bullying, social etc. The app can give pupils a different way of learning, be undertaking in small bitesize sessions and comes with a Teacher Resource pack if you are a school.

We are attending The Northern Education Show on Thursday 27th June 2024 and will be demonstrating our Xplore DisAbility app to everyone. Come and learn more about disability awareness and see if you can join in with our awareness challenges on the day!

Communication is important in any country, culture, and setting. That’s why our hearing impairment module on our Xplore DisAbility app teaches some basic British Sign Language in the hope that we can bring different communities together. Our module also has lots of information and a fun quiz too!

Our app currently has 3 interactive modules to raise disability awareness and inclusion. With visual, hearing, and mobility impairment modules, your students can learn so much whilst having fun!
