So our team had a super busy day yesterday.

The morning was a trip out with the ponies to Strawberry Day Care nursery and the afternoon was a ‘small animal’ visit to Clann House at Lanivet. 🫶🫶

BEST day with our incredible two and four legged team spreading love, smiles and laughter wherever they go 🫶🥰🥹

Ginger is the newest therapy pony to join our team 🥰 Isn’t he a beautiful colour?! 🫶

In our ‘Tots Farm Club’ on Monday we had loads of fun meeting the goats and sheep and spending some time grooming the ponies and donkeys. We made sure that they were nice and clean before playing with the 'small world' animals and working on our problem solving skills with a puzzle!

Yesterday our therapy ponies Winnie The Pooh and Piglet, took a short trip up the road to Bodmin Rubgy Club to support the Mike's Trust Rugby Tournament and Family fun day.

To get to the rugby club they needed to tackle the very busy A38 which they of course took completely in their stride!

Mike's Trust is a charity that was established after the tragic loss of Mike 2 years ago and their mission is to raise awareness and educate young people about knife crime especially in rural areas like ours.

Our therapy ponies are enjoying snoozing in their stables during the day, after spending the night in the field. This means we are able to get extra special sleepy cuddles from them. Here is one of our tots club regulars getting to experience this special moment.

Although our ponies do not get hand fed treats our goats and sheep love being given a carrot!

Amy is always on hand to reassure and help support our visitors to help experience these special moments. Memories that will last a lifetime 🫶

Everyone deserves a voice — no matter how they express it. 💬 Whether it’s through spoken words, visuals, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, or Makaton signing, communication is key to connection, confidence, and choice.

At Little Margate, we believe in breaking down barriers and opening up the world of communication for everyone. That’s why we’ve introduced a brand new Visual Communication Board in our office! 🎉

🧠 It’s designed to support individuals in expressing their needs, wants, and feelings, helping them make personal choices with confidence and clarity. Amy works closely with parents, teachers, and support staff to tailor strategies and communication tools to each individual’s goals and needs — because teamwork makes the progress happen. 🙌

🧩 AAC tools, visual aids, and signs aren’t just supports — they are voices. Let’s celebrate and empower every way to communicate. 💛
