Murder, Mystery & Laughter at Wyldewoods! 🎬✨
This month, we fully embraced the charm of the brand-new film The Thursday Murder Club, set in a retirement village much like our own!

We kicked things off with a trip to see The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes live on stage—a thrilling performance that set the mood for the mysteries ahead. 🕵️‍♂️
Inspired by the detective theme, we launched our very own Wyldewoods Book Club and dove into the Thursday Murder Club novel together. What fun it was to read and share theories over a cuppa! ☕📖

To top it all off, we took a trip to the Picturehouse Cinema in Chester to watch the film adaptation—and what a treat it was! We laughed, we gasped, and we couldn’t help but see the story through new eyes, now living in a place so similar to the one on screen. 🎥❤️

Embracing Independence and Community Living

Moving from a family home into a new property in a retirement village can be an emotional journey for many. Garden party at The Wyldewoods! 🌿

Today we held our summer Garden Party here at The Wyldewoods, and it was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by many!

We served refreshing Pimm’s, delicious Snugburys ice cream, and had some amazing music setting the perfect scene for a relaxing, summery vibe. 🎶

It was a lovely opportunity for our residents to enjoy the sunshine and for members of the local community to join us and see what life is like here.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special! 💛

Last Wednesday we welcomed seven children from the local school to visit us here at Wyldewoods. They came to share their work and achievements with our residents, and what a lovely afternoon it turned out to be!
This visit is part of our ongoing intergenerational work, which we’re excited to continue in September with two local primary schools. It was heartwarming to see the interaction between the children and our residents — full of smiles, stories, and laughter.

After sharing their projects, the children were given a tour of our village. One little boy cheerfully asked, “It’s lovely here — can I move in?”

Moments like these remind us of the joy that cross-generational connections bring. We can’t wait to welcome the children back soon.
