What is mobility? This is the generic ability to move, and is a combination of flexibility, stability and strength.

Better mobility training for shoulders, hips and ankles is popular topic at the moment. This is because if we can’t move and control our bodies, then whatever physical strength you may be trying to develop in the gym for example, will become very hard to see the benefits of that training.

As well as this, having poor mobility is like playing a waiting game to see when, not if, injury stops your ability or exercise and move freely and even bring difficulty to every day activities.

The key to better mobility is integration!

That means that no body part is isolated, the lower body is connected to the upper body. This is how the body is designed to function. Joints are either stable or mobile. Your ankle mobility could be affected by the lack of foot stability. Our hip and shoulder mobility could be limited by the lack of core stability and so on.

Using movements that create specific tension techniques to increase our stability so that we can achieve better mobility. These strategies don’t force us into painful ranges of motions and actually teach our body to slow down and develop better mobility!

Stop putting off tomorrow what could be done today!
Or better yet, stop putting of something for hours that literally could take you 5 minutes.

The longer you wait to do something simple, the harder it will be to start. Then the easier it will be to let minutes become hours and hours become days of not doing the things you actually need too.

The more your reinforce the pattern of delay, the less you will accomplish.

You will make less progress towards your goals, you will changes less things about your life, and you will remain stuck.

If you want to change something, you need to take action. Do it as soon as possible. βœ…

I’m sure many of us are back at work today and back to normality, with the festivities behind us. Now is the time to look forward at the year ahead, and what it may have in store for you.

What could you do to make this YOUR year?

I’m sure we’ve all thought about the age old question, β€œwhat’s your New Year’s resolution?” πŸ˜…
Now this doesn’t have to be a huge long term goal that is unrealistic, because more than likely you won’t get there.

Think about yourself -
- What do you enjoy?
- What makes you happy?
- What do you want to spend your time doing?
Why? Because believe it or not you’re more likely to stick to it! πŸ€ͺ

The hardest part is getting started, once that’s out of the way, you are well on the way to making this year the best it can be. The toughest challenge is getting started!

Sometimes it can be challenging to make your own needs a priority.

Often we will put the needs of others first, because we want to be seen as a team player or as a provider for those around us.

However, always putting others needs before your own, can lead to burnout and resentment.

Always make your needs a priority, it will massively impact how you show up for others.πŸ“ˆ

For me, my needs include exercising, the beach and time with others and time to myself.

It’s YOUR responsibility to make your needs a priority! πŸ‘

Somethings you can do to take control is:
-Say no to something or someone
-Plan time for your needs, especially for your mental health and mindset
-Create a morning/daily routine
-Adjust your expectations

Switching it up and focusing on yourself might feel strange at first, but in time you will feel a shift in your own wellbeing and it will have a positive impact on all of your relationships. πŸ˜€

You don’t have to change everything over night, small steps overtime will give you big changes. πŸš€βœ…

Rested, recovered and ready to rumble! πŸ”‹πŸ›«πŸ‡―πŸ‡ͺ

After a nice, chilled, relaxing week both on and off the rock for half term, it’s back to work and a normal routine tomorrow!

It’s so important to have that time to unwind and relax. Did you know you are less likely to sway from your goals and loose track and your targets if you’re over tired? Getting enough sleep, staying hydrated and being well rested are just as important!

So this is me telling you to take it easy for a day or so, stick the kettle on and press play on that next episode βœ…πŸ”‹ it’s okay!

It now seems the last of that summer sun has gone, however there are some positives to take from this more autumnal weather.

We’re going to spending more time inside when the weather isn’t the greatest. So, there’s no better time to keep on top of your health from home! Mobile massage treatments come right to your door at a date and time that suits, all the stress is taken away!

𝑫𝑢 𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻 𝑴𝑨𝑲𝑬𝑺 𝒀𝑢𝑼 𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝒀 πŸ˜ƒ

Life is busy, it can feel overwhelming at times.

Many of us manage this with exercise and trying to stay healthy.

There are no rules when it comes to exercise and our mental health, you have free rein to do what you enjoy. If the plan isn’t making you happy, change it…. πŸ“ˆ

If you’re struggling, ask yourself what makes you happy and get back to it! If it takes you a week or 2 to find what that might be, that’s okay.

I know for me I find release in simply putting a podcast on and going for walk. This helps me switch off from the world around, sometimes there’s nothing like it. 🚢

It doesn’t have to be anything high intensity or ground breaking. If it helps clear your head and makes you feel good, stick with it!

Remember everyone struggles at some points. Its normal. Take a moment, think, ask yourself what do you need to do? Then do it! πŸ˜ƒ
