September is . So we're shining a light on MS and bladder problems.

Bladder problems are common for people living with MS. There are two main types: problems with storage and problems with emptying.

Doctors aren’t sure why some people get one and not the other, or why some people get a bit of both. But there are ways to manage bladder problems.

Calling all you men out there 🧡

We’re delighted to be launching MenSnap, a space for men affected by MS in Scotland.

Together with a photographer and a psychotherapist, this small online group will use photography to make it easier to talk about mental health.

No photography experience or special equipment is needed. You don’t need to have joined anything like this before. You don’t need to have the “right” words. Just come as you are.

Over the weekend we had some amazing fundraising from two of our local groups 🧡

Carol and the Arran Group attend the Isle of Arran Highland Games whilst Jennifer and the Kilmarnock group went along to the Ayr Car Boot and Market.

Both groups had a stall with a tombola and raised a joint total of £1,077! Amazing work to all who were involved and thank you to all who donated. Our local groups smashed it!

On Sunday, the Kilmarnock peer support group are raising funds by attending the Ayr race course Sunday market 🧡 They will have a tombola and home baking. There's plenty of goodies on the go and you may be lucky to win a bottle or two! The Sunday market opens from 8am, so why not come along and show your support.

The group would like to say a huge big thank you for all the donations. The preparations are all done (fingers crossed!)

This webinar will be a good one to catch if you are new to using a mobility aid, wary of starting to use one or need some pointers!

Join us for our Using a wheelchair to gain independence webinar!

The Ayr Cricket Club held a fabulous ladies day event a few weeks ago, raising funds for the MS Society Ayrshire & Arran. The event included a raffle, silent auction, Rod Stewart impersonator and DJ. Joanne (Group Coordinator) and Muriel (Admin and Grants Volunteer) also went along to speak about the work the MS Society Ayrshire & Arran do in the community.

The event was attended by 200 ladies who were ready to party and they raised £5,500 🧡 Amazing! Thank you so much for your generosity and we hope everyone had a fun time. Here's some photos from the day!
