BCU Primary Care Session with Pittsburgh Students – A Great Success
Last week we had the pleasure of delivering a session at Birmingham City University (BCU) for visiting students from Pittsburgh, USA. The session provided an introduction to Primary Care in the UK, featuring an engaging escape room activity that was very well received.
The students participated in some fantastic discussions, particularly around the comparisons between UK and US healthcare delivery, which led to valuable insights and reflections.
We were also joined by two brilliant General Practice Nurses (GPNs), Katie Mason and Leanne Abrahams from Manor Practice/Ashfurlong, who shared “a day in the life” of a GPN. Their input truly enhanced the session, offering students a real-world perspective and bringing the learning to life.
Many thanks to Katie and Leanne for their time and valuable contribution!
