Did you know that mindfulness and hypnosis are similar?

Mindfulness and hypnosis are aligned in many ways, as well as having multiple similarities. The state of being mindful is similar to the hypnotic trance state in that, one is in the present during the session.

Hypnosis works on a more profound level that is able to reach our subconscious. Our subconscious “narrates” our life and is the culmination of all we have experienced in our lives. It is also responsible for creating our opinions and self judgements of the world around us.

We can give our subconscious various mind tasks, desires and goals that we desire, and it will in return give us back useful information, opportunities and ideas. The key is to be mindful of what tasks and goals we give our subconscious.

When we access our subconscious via hypnosis, we can train our mind to become more aware and present. Using and employing on a regular basis the mindfulness teachings such as body scanning, breathing exercises, mindful sitting and mindful moment are all part and parcel of hypnotic activity.

Mindful living in our challenging times

Are you having trouble focusing on the task at hand and feel that your thoughts drift randomly away?

Well, the good news is that you are not alone! According to a study by Matt Killingsworth “Track Your Happiness” found that 47% of the time our mind wanders away.

The bad news is that unfortunately he also found that those thoughts almost always are negative and are emotionally harmful. Then then get stuck in a rumination loop going over and over these negative thoughts.

So how do we find a solution for our mental peace and calm our restless thoughts?

So how do we stay mindful in these strange days that are fraught with turmoil?

Fortunately, there are many resources, ideas and techniques that we can use to help us in life’s journey.
Using mindful techniques such as breathing exercises, doing body scans and using mindful movement and even sitting, can help us live in the present.

During hypnosis, the way our brains behave changes. Our minds become completely relaxed, and we’re able to access our subconscious. In fact, we can bypass the critical mind and go straight to that inner voice and speak directly to it.

What’s more, when we’re in a state of hypnosis, our brains become highly receptive to suggestion.
Therefore, suggestions such as, “you will feel confident in everything you do,” they’re much more likely to stick.

We’ve bypassed that critical conscious layer that’s always so quick to qualify and analyse suggestions.

Repetition is the key when we want to make any changes. By listening to your personalised hypnosis audio, which has your own suggestions, you can get your mind to work for you!

Confidence is a state of mind. When we completely believe in ourselves and our abilities, we feel confident. But often we tend to doubt our skills and abilities. This could leave you feeling anxious and stressed. Confidence is closely linked with self-esteem, but they are not the same thing. Self-confidence is how we perceive our ability to carry out certain tasks and roles, whereas self-esteem refers to the way we feel about ourselves. Hypnosis can help with low self-confidence.
Hypnosis is a deeper form of mindful meditation and through it we can accomplish amazing growth. We can consider hypnosis as meditation with a goal, a purpose.
The first thing you will find is that the stillness via hypnosis helps quieten your inner critic. When you enter that calm state of trance and accept yourself as you are, you will find that this does wonders to improve your self-esteem. From this point your self-confidence will grow ever stronger, balanced, and secure. The question is what the things are we need to hear to start and successfully walk this path. Together we can develop a custom audio solution to guide on this path or any other. Repetition is key to integrating positive thoughts and behaviors into your life and your custom audio powerfully enables you to do so.

Hypnosis uses guided relaxation and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness, that is sometimes called a trance. During this state our minds become completely relaxed. Hypnosis relaxes the body and the mind which in return help reduce stress and anxiety that one may be experiencing. Hypnosis can also improve sleep through relaxation. The hypnotic state makes the person better able to respond to suggestions. Therefore, it can help some people change certain behaviours, perceptions, and sensations. As well as increases confidence by boosting self-esteem through ego strengthening suggestions in hypnotic state.

Hypnosis is an effective therapeutic tool, and it can be used as a compliment to medical treatment for several conditions and is repeatedly proven in research and scientific settings, currently and for the past several decades.

It continues to be successfully used and endorsed by reputable organizations such as the Royal College of Medicine, who in studies of brain imaging have verified the efficacy of hypnosis in pain control.

Hypnosis is also demonstrably effective in treating and controlling conditions such as IBS, PTSD, Insomnia, as well as depression, anxiety, smoking cessation, weight loss and post-surgical wound healing.

Many studies have shown that hypnosis is unmatched in its ability to evoke rapid and profound changes in experience. Our hypnotic suggestions provide an effective and precise means for satisfying three core goals.

These include reliably inducing altered states of awareness, promoting meta-awareness, and encouraging rapid and lasting changes in behaviour.

Past and current hypnosis research is booming with articles studying the influence of suggestion on brain and behavior and how effective it is for those who use it. Scientists at Stanford in a study on brain activity during hypnosis found three hallmarks of a brain under hypnosis.

First, they say that during hypnosis a region of the brain called the dorsal anterior cingulate became less active, enabling the client to become so absorbed that they are not worrying about anything else.

Secondly, there is an increase in connections between two other areas of the brain — the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the insula. They describe this as a brain-body connection which helps the brain process and control what’s going on in a person’s body.

Finally, they noted reduced connections between the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the default mode network, including the medial prefrontal and the posterior cingulate cortex.

This decrease in functional connectivity likely indicates a disconnect between a person’s actions and their awareness of their actions, essentially you get really engaged with something and you don’t think about it, you simply just do it. These work together, allowing clients to relax and communicate more directly with their subconscious.

This results in greater effectiveness of the positive, safe and helpful suggestions in our resonance products. More importantly, without having to devote mental resources to being self-conscious about the activity.

Basically, you can just allow your subconscious to help you, without you having to think about it. What a wonderful solution.

When our physical and mental states are out of sync, we encounter disharmony. This can express itself in behaviours and actions that can have a negative effect on our lives.

We believe that in our resonance solutions, clients go through a process that induces a trance-like state that helps focus their minds, in particular the subconscious. They therefore respond more readily to positive suggestions while deeply relaxed.

Our products and services are geared to guide you on a path to a resonant solution. Each one contains messages and information tailored to help with a variety of situations.

Explore our products platform where you can craft your own unique solution, wherein you can choose the scenarios and sounds. You can also have your name included in the script so that it truly resonates with you.

Binaural beats, as the scientific community has known for over 180 years ever since German experimenter H.W. Dove discovered them in 1839, are certain frequencies that are associated with certain states of mind.

Binaural beats, in this instance, are specially generated sounds, that are designed to alter your brainwaves and bring about different states of mind, such as peacefulness, relaxation or creativity. For example, the alpha frequency of 8 to 12Hz is present when individuals are in a focused state in “super-learning”or “positive-thinking” modes.

Most importantly, this frequency is scientifically verified through electroencephalograph (EEG) readings and can usually only be obtained through meditation or hypnosis. H.W. Dove found that by playing two coherent sounds of similar frequencies into each ear, the sound going into the left ear, for example, at a slightly offset frequency from the sound in the right ear, produces a third “binaural beat” at a specific frequency perceived by the listener’s mind. This directly influences the person’s brainwaves and their state of mind.

Our Resonance solution combines the elements of Binaural beats stimulation (using specific beats suited to the specific situation) along with expertly created hypnosis and hypnotherapy scripts by our certified hypnotherapists to help induce more profound and effective altered states of consciousness. Layered onto this, in our custom hypnosis, are the elements that you resonate most with such as your desired scenarios, colours and more.

Ultimately, it is up to you and your own mind. The more you know and understand how well the process and technology work together to help you on a personal level, and the more you focus on reaching your desired outcome, the greater and more beneficial your results are likely to be. Together we can help you on this journey to your own Resonance.

Have you ever wondered what your brain is like under hypnosis? In this article we discuss the three “hallmarks” or signs of a brain during a hypnotic session.
First, during hypnosis a region of the brain called the dorsal anterior cingulate becomes less active. The main job of this region is to guide behaviour by integrating information, evaluating motivation and anticipating events. It detects targets, encodes reward values and signal errors, and then directly and/or indirectly influences attention allocation. Continuing with motor preparation and motor responses. During hypnosis this region becomes less active, making it easier for positive suggestions to bypass all the normal evaluation, anticipation and encoding. Thus enabling the client to become so relaxed that they are not focusing on anything else.
Secondly, during hypnosis, there is an increase in connections between two other areas of the brain — the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the insula.
The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is known for its involvement in the executive functions, which is an umbrella term for the management of cognitive processes. This includes working memory, cognitive flexibility, and planning. It is also involved in decision making about whether something is risky or might be moral.
Additionally, insula plays a role in a variety of homeostatic functions related to basic survival needs, such as taste, visceral sensation, and autonomic control. The insula controls autonomic functions through the regulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. This brain-body connection helps the brain process what is going on in a person’s body.
Finally, there is a reduced connection between the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the default mode network, including the medial prefrontal and the posterior cingulate cortex.
This decrease in functional connectivity likely indicates a disconnect between a person’s actions and their awareness of their actions, essentially you get really engaged with something and you don’t think about it, you simply just do it. These work together allowing clients to relax and communicate more directly with their subconscious.

These hallmarks reflect the state of a positive, safe and helpful hypnosis session, and thus making the suggestions more effective. More importantly, without having to devote mental resources to being self-conscious about the activity, you can just allow your subconscious to help you without you having to think about it.

Emotion is a subjective state of mind. Emotions can be reactions to internal stimuli (such as thoughts or memories) or events that occur in our environment. Emotions not only reflect our mental states—they also alter our body chemistry and functioning.

WHY DO WE HAVE EMOTIONS?

Researchers believe that each basic emotion has its own purpose. For example, when our ancestors encountered a dangerous animal, fear prompted them to run away to safety.

Today, we may not have dangerous animals to worry about, but we can still use our emotions as data to inform us of the deeper purpose of a specific feeling.
Feel free to share what your emotions inform you about yourself.

How do we deal with loss?
Were we ever taught to deal with loss?

We feel there are two main ways loss can be handled.

Sadness or Reflection

Sadness is all about feeling the emptiness; the pain of loss.

Whereas

Reflection is all about seeing the choice points. Reflecting back to move forward.

In this last year, the world has experienced loss on many levels,
loss of loved ones
loss of time with friends and family
loss of opportunities
loss of touch
loss of togetherness
loss of hope

HOWEVER

If we reflect upon this loss - and understand the whys and wherefores, we can thus clarify our thinking and fully embrace the deeper meaning of this experience.

Life isn't about yourself,it's about creating yourself.
This year we had to face many challenges. One of the biggest difficulties was staying at home. We found ourselves following the rules of social distancing and self-isolating to keep everyone safe. But life is not about finding ourselves, it’s about creating ourselves. Discovering ways to stay strong and face the challenges.
