Hypnosis is an effective therapeutic tool, and it can be used as a compliment to medical treatment for several conditions and is repeatedly proven in research and scientific settings, currently and for the past several decades.
It continues to be successfully used and endorsed by reputable organizations such as the Royal College of Medicine, who in studies of brain imaging have verified the efficacy of hypnosis in pain control.
Hypnosis is also demonstrably effective in treating and controlling conditions such as IBS, PTSD, Insomnia, as well as depression, anxiety, smoking cessation, weight loss and post-surgical wound healing.
Many studies have shown that hypnosis is unmatched in its ability to evoke rapid and profound changes in experience. Our hypnotic suggestions provide an effective and precise means for satisfying three core goals.
These include reliably inducing altered states of awareness, promoting meta-awareness, and encouraging rapid and lasting changes in behaviour.
Past and current hypnosis research is booming with articles studying the influence of suggestion on brain and behavior and how effective it is for those who use it. Scientists at Stanford in a study on brain activity during hypnosis found three hallmarks of a brain under hypnosis.
First, they say that during hypnosis a region of the brain called the dorsal anterior cingulate became less active, enabling the client to become so absorbed that they are not worrying about anything else.
Secondly, there is an increase in connections between two other areas of the brain — the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the insula. They describe this as a brain-body connection which helps the brain process and control what’s going on in a person’s body.
Finally, they noted reduced connections between the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the default mode network, including the medial prefrontal and the posterior cingulate cortex.
This decrease in functional connectivity likely indicates a disconnect between a person’s actions and their awareness of their actions, essentially you get really engaged with something and you don’t think about it, you simply just do it. These work together, allowing clients to relax and communicate more directly with their subconscious.
This results in greater effectiveness of the positive, safe and helpful suggestions in our resonance products. More importantly, without having to devote mental resources to being self-conscious about the activity.
Basically, you can just allow your subconscious to help you, without you having to think about it. What a wonderful solution.
