Did you see it? There was a beautiful full moon this weekend, The Sturgeon Moon. We were lucky enough to have a weekend of beautiful sky's, perfect for moon gazing.
🌕
My brother visited and I was able to show him the magic of moonrise on the East Coast, where the moon looks as if it rises up out of the sea.
🌕
I love August evening walks, often just me and Amy 🐶 and my headphones 🎧
🌕
Music wise, on said walks, I have been revisting the 90s with a sense of nostalgia that makes me ache for days and a way of life that are long gone.
🌕
But then I gently pull myself back to the present and realise, I am currently living through days that in time, I will reflect on with a warm, grateful heart
- Summer days with Amber at home
- Summer yoga classes full of light and ease
- Long summer evening walks with Amy
- Coffee and cake with my friend with Nick Drake's Pink Moon album playing in the background (a 70s classic that has all the feels)
Simple things that mean everything
🌕
And just like back in the 90s, there are things that I love, things that are making me incredibly sad, things that feel difficult because they are utterly out of the realms of the control any of us has.
🌕
I am suddenly realising, that is where the biggest most memorable feelings come from, the unexpected and the uncertain.
🌕
So, I am grateful for the opportunity of nostalgia, and forever working on acceptance of things none of us can change.
🌕
I hope you saw the full moon, and I hope she illuminated all you needed to see, past and present. And perhaps the realisation that the place to be... is now💖
🌕
With love, Steph xx
