Frankincense 👑
Ahh... Frankincense is the King of Oils 🤴🤴
The oil is produced by steam distillation of the resin of the Boswellia trees and has been called “The King Of Oil” thanks to its incredible effects on our health.
It is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent that has been thoroughly used in the past as a natural remedy against various ailments.
Frankincense has been used for thousands of years for different rituals, and besides having a wonderful fragrance, nowadays we use it as a natural remedy for numerous ailments.
The oil can boost the immune system, prevent toothache and cavities, treat colds and prevent other infections.
According to a study conducted at the Sloan Kettering Memorial Centre, the oil contains a compound known as beta-elemene which is responsible for most of the oil’s benefits.
Many cancer patients use herbs rich in the compound as a natural treatment as beta-elemene has shown that it can prevent cancer cell growth in laboratory tests.
The few human trials conducted on it have shown that the compound can indeed improve the quality of life of cancer patients, although further research is required in order to draw final conclusions.
Frankincense has numerous Emotional/Energetic Qualities:
* Supports reflection and introspection
* Encourages emotional healing on all levels
* Quiets the mind
* Supports focused attention and tranquility
Frankincense essential oil’s astringent properties can be a great support against skin problems.
It can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and promote the regeneration of skin cells too.
We can't eliminate the signs of aging, but we do have the means to 'slow it down' without spending a fortune on commercial lotions and creams.
Most of these products contain a variety of chemicals such as fragrance, benzyl alcohol and PEG-100 Stearate which can harm your skin beyond repair.
You would be doing yourself a favour if you can start including frankincense oil into your skincare products / regime in order to erase the signs of facial aging .
With anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and healing properties it work great against eczema, acne, stretch marks, scars and wrinkles.
Frankincense essential oil, sometimes called Olibanum oil, is resinous with terpenic, coniferous, pine-like, woody, and fresh lemon elements in the top note, and with woody, spicy nuances.
The fresh pine-like note is due to the dominant constituent, α-pinene; the lemony note is due to limonene.
Frankincense blends well with citrus oils, but also with other resins (such as Myrrh), spicy oils (especially Clove), and intense florals (such as Jasmine and Ylang Ylang).
