We would also like welcome you all to our Porlock Gardens Family Summer Opening Day joint event with Bilton Hall on St George’s Day this Wednesday 23rd April 11am-2pm (the day ends at 3pm at Bilton Hall). There will be lots of fun activities, games, food and treats all with spring, Easter, Ostara, Knights and Dragons themes. Fun for the whole family in the gardens! 🌷🐣🛡️🐉🎉

The day is free for everyone, and children also eat for free funded by (adults pay for food and drinks)

Just a little update of what's happening with the CIC.. it's not been so easy to get things up and running, but please bear with us, as we WILL get there.

Firstly, it took us sooooo long to get a bank account, which meant we couldn't do very much. We have one now, and we're still committed to getting information and events out to the community, but we need a bit of time together, and maybe some support in getting started, finding venues to accommodate groups over winter (as our base at Porlock Community Gardens is a small cabin, and we don't have toilet facilities currently)

Hoping that in October, we can maybe have some meetings to move things forward...

Get yourself along to the Wood Shed on the Scotch Estate, they are a lovely bunch of people, who have fantastic skills. Whether you are a beginner or experienced it is an enjoyable, friendly environment.
Our doors are open to anyone aged 40 or over, to provide a space for physical activity, social engagement, mental health support, by helping to combat the effects of loneliness and social isolation, through either leaning a new skill, or pursuing a passion for woodworking, under the supervision of our experienced members.
