Highly recommended Msk podiatrist with PhD in inflammatory arthritis and exercise rehabilitation.

A brilliant and busy day at The Highland Foot Clinic!

A reminder that I am based at the UHI campus every Tuesday for MSK pain/sports injuries.

Treatments today included:
- Exercise rehabilitation
- Orthotics
- Post operative care
- Taping for plantar fasciitis
- Liaising with orthopaedic teams
- Activity monitoring/pacing
- Moulding offloading silicone toe props

And most importantly empowering patients to return to activities and sports that they love 🏃🏻‍♀️

Today this ranged from marathon training, skiing, rock climbing to being able to walk the dog round the block ❤️ best job ever!

Clinic update!
Those who have been on treatment in the last couple of months will be aware of my news but for those who have not been on treatment recently I wanted to give you an update.
Myself and my family have relocated to Ireland after my husband was offered an exciting job opportunity. It was a hard decision to leave the Highlands and the business but I am delighted to inform you that Andrew Jones and his Team at Fusion Physiotherapy, based in Elgin have accepted the offer to take over Keys Physiotherapy and appointments will continue to take place at the Life Science and Innovation Centre.

I am delighted to hand it over to such an amazing group of very experienced and like minded Physiotherapists and believe I am leaving it in very safe hands. The Keys Physiotherapy name will continue for the next few months before becoming 'Fusion Physiotherapy'.

An introduction 👋

Hello! I'm Aimie - I'm a podiatrist and owner of The Highland Foot Clinic.

With over 8 years of clinical experience as a specialist podiatrist in both research and NHS roles across Leeds, Glasgow and Ayrshire, I am so delighted to be moving back to Inverness and opening The Highland Foot Clinic.

I have dedicated the last 8 years to researching and publishing work around inflammatory arthritis, physical rehabilitation and medical imaging and in 2022 I was awarded my doctorate. Through my previous roles I have gained skills and knowledge across a range of disciplines including rheumatology, sports injuries, orthopaedics, gait rehabilitation and more.

I am passionate about managing foot pain and problems to keep people healthy, happy and mobile. It is an absolute privilege to get to meet so many amazing people as part of my job.

Outside of work I love going on long walks with my family and friends (and my crazy spaniel), paddleboarding, wild swimming and I have just joined the Inverness rowing club. In a moment of madness I have also signed up for a triathlon next year!

Former Scottish and GB cyclist and fellow physiotherapist Eleanor Richardson is raising money to help support young girls from the Highlands who show an interest in athletics. “Giving Back to Track” is a non-profit organisation aims to encourage young girls in Scotland to lead an active lifestyle and believes that no child should be priced out of athletics.
