There was a fine line between committed and stupid this morning….🤣 The rain made this mornings run tough to even get out the door. The first time getting back into running when I haven’t wanted to go but convinced Gareth to cycle alongside me because it would be good for him too! 😜 Double bonus….managed to tick off my little goal of hitting 10k before my 40th six weeks early!

First full week back in 2025! I am rested, recharged and ready to welcome you all. Just a couple of reminders…
⏰ - Please give 12 hours + notice to rearrange or cancel your appointment. Anything less than this will need to be paid for in full.
🚘 - If you are early for your appointment, please wait in your car until your appointment time. If I can see you early I will come out and get you.
📋 - For new clients, please ensure your pre consultation for is sent back at least the day before your appointment. This gives me time to prepare and gives you the most out of your hour.
💴 - There will be a small increase of £5 as of 1st February.
I look forward to seeing old, existing and new clients in the coming weeks, hearing all about your Christmas and what exciting plans you have for the year ahead!

How do I know if I’m in perimenopause? I work with a lot of women in their 30’s and 40’s and this subject always crops up! In all honesty, it’s not possible to diagnose from one single test. Symptoms are vast and our hormones widely fluctuate at this time of our lives. Symptom and cycle tracking is key to get a good picture of what’s going on and to go armed to your female health practitioner. Some of the most common symptoms are:
🥵 Hot flushes and night sweats
🦵Joint Pain and muscle aches
🤯 Brain fog, anxiety and depression
🩸 Changes in your periods

Find something you love doing, that lights up your face like deadlifts do mine, and commit to it regularly! 😆 Find something that isn’t threatening for the brain and which doesn’t provoke pain and start gradually. The gym isn’t for everyone, trying cycling, swimming, dancing, tennis….whatever works for you! Movement really is the best medicine for our whole body

When this happens the body goes into a low level ‘fight or flight’ response where the muscle tone increases ready for action!
