I often get asked: ‘Why is Hypnotherapy so effective?’

Hypnotherapy is really effective at creating positive change because it utilises the Trance state in a holistic and intentional way.

The Trance state is simply a focused state of attention and we move between different levels of our consciousness every day when we move from sleep to being awake, when we’re concentrating at work or driving.

It is a NATURAL process we all experience but we are usually UNAWARE it is happening.

With Hypnotherapy we guide your focus of attention INWARDS allowing ACCESS to those deeper levels of consciousness.

Learning HOW your internal system is functioning, connecting with the different PARTS of your persona and personality, creating a much stronger communication and building self-trust is key to experiencing positive change in your mental and emotional wellbeing.

If you’ve tried other talking therapies and found it somewhat useful to a point but you haven’t felt REAL change then Hypnotherapy will give you the opportunity to go beyond the surface and transform things at the deepest level resulting in sustained and lasting change.

Our childhood experiences between the ages of 0-7 years shape us in so many ways. During these years we develop a kind of map or blueprint within our subconscious of who we are, is the world safe and how we need to behave in order to get our needs met.

This map or blueprint will then guide us throughout our lives - it shows up in our adult relationships, how we feel about the world and most importantly how we feel about ourself.

As children we are not responsible for our home environment or the relationships with have with our parents or caregivers but as Adults we have the ability and power to heal and transform things for our self.

We can update our map.

If you are someone who is struggling with anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts or perhaps physiological symptoms such as IBS and you aren’t sure what is causing these issues please know you don’t have to continue to struggle and cope on your own and there is so much you can do to creat positive change for yourself.

We experience our lives and the world around us through our own unique lens and our relationship with OURSELF is key!

Are you aware of the beliefs you hold about yourself in your subconscious? Are they feeding in to the anxiety you feel or the issues you are facing now?

Yes you may need some help some support and encouragement, you may need someone to teach you the tools you need to heal and move forwards but know that the power that creates the change is within you.

No-one else can do it for you … but that doesn’t mean you have to do it on your own.

Stop Scrolling ✋

This is an invitation to take a few moments and check in with your breathing.

Without trying to change the rhythm of your breath to begin with… simply tune in and notice the speed and depth of your IN and OUT breath.

Now place your hand on your tummy and start to breath in deeply so the breath goes all the way down and pushes your hand outwards.

Then exhale slowly and empty your lung completely.

Repeat this for several cycles and then notice how that feels.

If you take a few moments out of each hour to check in with your Breath it will benefit you in so many ways.

Our breath is one of the most powerful tools for balancing our nervous system.

You can also attach a word or mantra with the breath so as you Breathe IN repeat the word ‘CALM’.

This instructs your subconscious as to how you want to feel.

If you are someone who is struggling but waiting to get help until your mental health has got so bad that you can’t function.... Please don’t wait any longer - the sooner you take action the quicker and easier it is to transform things.

Positive change is possible at any stage so please don’t hold off until things have fallen apart.

As the start of another New Year is nearly upon us it’s a wonderful opportunity for reflection, celebration and connection.

Reflection on how far you have come in the last 12 months, celebration of all the wins, big and small wins and for taking some time to connect with yourself.

Ultimately the challenges that we face in life can feel so overwhelming but learning how to strengthen our foundation of SELF-CONFIDENCE, SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-TRUST & SELF-BELIEF will mean whatever we face we can navigate it.

Learning how to improve the relationship you have with yourself, to reduce Internal Conflict and experience a reduction in SYMPTOMS such as ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, DEPERSONALISATION is the most important thing you can EVER do for your mental health and wellbeing.

One of my goals for 2025 is to help as many people as I can to improve their mental health and wellbeing, to spread awareness of just how powerful hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis is and to really enjoy doing it 😁

After having some time away from work and this wonderful app over Xmas I am really looking forward to sharing more tools, tips, knowledge and support with you all in 2025.

As infants we form our sense of self, our identity, ego, coping mechanisms and beliefs in relation to our care-givers and our environment.

We have no concept or awareness of ourself outside of our RELATIONSHIPS with the people around us, places and objects.

If your home environment as a child was chaotic and you received inconsistent emotional connection or atonement from your caregivers then you may well find yourself subconsciously seeking out chaotic and inconsistent relationships and environments as an adult.

You Amy be aware that this cycle is happening but feel unable to change it, this is where HYPNOTHERAPY is such a powerful process. It enables you to connect with the deeper levels of your-self and to re-program or create new coping mechanisms, beliefs and behaviours that are focused on experiencing healthy and balanced relationships and environments.
