Taking care of your mental wellbeing means that some days you might feel like you can move mountains.....
other days you might not and that's ok too. It's all about that lovely balance. 🙏
Today as you can see, I'm not moving mountains... or even sorting my wild witchy hair out 😉
I'm dusting corners, going slower, listening to music. Listening to my body and mind that I need to slow down. That I need this to keep me balanced.
We are sold this story that we should be constantly doing, improving, bettering.... good mental health isn't about being a big bag of happiness and positivity every single day. 💫
It's recognising when we feel a bit low we need to do more of the things we have to do to feel better.
It's about nourishing our body and mind, it's about recognising the beginning of spirals.
It's about knowing ourselves.
Using or discovering the tools we know. Being really kind to ourselves and the words we speak, often to ourselves and about ourselves. They have power.
Slowing things down to recognise how we really feel.
Allowing the feeling and sitting with it, not avoiding it or apologising for it.
Taking up space and taking time for ourselves.
