Well there's 2 things I'm being consistent with.
Being sick!

Flu at Christmas
A cold from Laila
Now I've had another stinking cold & throat, cough all week.
Summer can't come quickly enough!

Time to work on my immune system.
I'm starting a 12 week course of Symprove, a high strength pro & prebiotic course.
More rest & sleep. Setting myself a 10.30 bed time.
More nourishing foods, less quick meals as I feel too tired to cook.

I have been consistent with intermittent fasting, but exercise when sick is a no go.

So consistency is going to be sleep, IF & self care for the next week.

How's everyone else doing practising their consistency 🤔?

Well 2022 was a year I'm glad is over! Was a battle for me.

For 2023 my word is "consistency"
I tend to be an all or nothing type of person.
So I am either killing myself doing 110%
Or I don't even get started.

So this year I'm aiming for consistency in exercise, I've set a realistic 3 x per week

I'm going to practice consistent intermittent fasting with 2 meals per day Monday to Friday, dinner & tea to us northerners.

And I'm aiming to post here consistently twice a month.

Anything extra in exercise, IF, or posting is a bonus to pat myself on the back for, rather than aim high & beat myself up for not hitting everything.

Anyone else all or nothing & struggle with consistency?

Why not post your consistency aims below & join me in this journey? I'd love to have some of you along for the ride 💚🙏

So a while ago I did an additional module on my nutrition qualification on intermittent fasting. It's something I've done before, but wanted to dive in a bit deeper with my knowledge.
So I am currently playing around with it on myself.
Last week I did 16:8 which means 16 hours of straight fasting and eating in an 8 hour window, while maintaining 2l minimum water intake.
I did not count calories, or change any eating habits.
I lost 1.4kg
Setting myself a finish eating by 7pm meant I could not snack in the evening which is one of my bad habits.
In a couple of weeks I'm going to expand on it.

Have any of you done IF before?
Be interested to hear if you have, how easy or hard you found it. And did you get anything from it?

I know, I've been MIA in action for a while.
Just seems life is throwing one thing after another at me.
But I am no quitter, I get back up & keep fighting.
My eldest cat has been sick since early December & we have discovered it was pancreatitus & he also has chronic kidneys.
Along with everything else, I needed to retreat & just do what had to be done, and not beat myself up for not being here.

I find social media can add to anxiety & overwhelming feelings really easily, especially at difficult times, so I step away because my mental health is needing time out.

So, today is the first day in the next chapter of life.
I shall be back to share what I am up to later, right now I've got a cat asking for attention 🤣🤣

How's you all doing?

Thos time of year is a weird one.
The weathers as unpredictable as our feelings!
After the darkness & cold of winter, our bodies are craving the warm & sunshine, the lightness of summer.

But first, we have to be like the daffodil bulbs, push up, slowly. Battle through the swings of weather, and eventually the sun will come.

Everything in life is seasonal, moods, experiences, the body ebbs & flows.
And we must learn to go with the flow, and be at home with it.

Because if we don't, we are in constant battle, constant stress, constantly unhappy.

And the only thing thats not going to change in your life, is you living in your body.

Make peace with it.
Love it.
Nurture it.

This is something I practice daily.
I try turn as many things that creep into my head with a negative hat on into a gratitude.
Because a grateful heart can rarely be a sad heart.

Hey Ladies 👋
Been a little busy with my 31 Acts of Self care & Mindfulness group this last couple of months.

In order to not be doing too much, and to be able to prioritise my own self care, my page had to be a bit quiet.
But now its time to be more present over here 😃

If anyone has any questions on nutrition, self care & generally looking after yourself, then hit me up.
If you don't want to ask here, my inbox is open x x x

So, what's your plans for Sunday??
Mines exercise while wearing a shower cap & hair mask (multi tasking🤣)

Shower, shave, ipl while face mask is on (more multi tasking) style & dry hair.

Wait for a break in the rain so I can nip to daughter in laws & sort the bathroom surprise for my little Princess.

Chill out, meditate, and rest up as much as possible for rest of the day.

I am grateful for the energy I had to catch up on the cleaning & washing yesterday so I have made space for relaxing time today.

I am grateful the 5 furry kids let me lie in today.

I am grateful I woke to the smell of freshly brewed coffee next to the bed this morning.

I am grateful I didn't have to cook tea last night.

I am also grateful for the rain as it will likely get the giant seagull p**p off my windscreen 🤣🤣

So, what's one thing you are doing for you today? 💚
What's one thing you are grateful for? 🙌

After a stupidly busy January, and also running my 31 Acts of Care & Mindfulness group, I can't believe we are halfway through February.

Monday is Valentine's day, and for all of those singles, remember the most important love you have to give is the love for yourself 💖

The nights are getting lighter, spring is around the corner 👌😁
