As much as it is a frustrating one, the ultimate answer is that ‘it depends’…however that doesn’t really help so I’ll run through some guidelines and make it as specific as I can. 🎯
In essence, if you’ve having a good source/piece of protein in every meal 🍗, and some protein in any snacks throughout the day 🧀- you’re probably in a good place and getting enough. ✅
There are so many parts to that statement that can’t all be explained in one post, so there’ll be more to come on this to help guide you on what are good protein sources, suggested snacks, breakfast ideas, why protein helps and any watch outs too.
You may see fancy numbers that calculate how much to have based on your weight, but if that calculation says you should eat 140g of protein in a day and you’re currently eating 40g, with the best will in the world you aren’t going to jump to that overnight (if ever!). So just getting in a bit more than you currently do will hugely help. ↗️
