This Date in the year has in recent history been a big one for me & my family.

In 2011 I became a Mum for the first time.
In 2015 I was so sleep deprived and under so much stress that I woke up with vision loss.
In 2016 we found out the my husband's transfer had been accepted and we were able to relocate - a move which saved us financially (and more!)

So I thought it was a good day to embrace another change.

I'm closing the doors on Step by Step Wellbeing.

😱😱😱😱

I'm not completely disappearing and this account isnt closing but it is shifting.

In July I took on some work with a Children's Charity and I work alongside a service that supports children's mental and emotional Wellbeing. It's supporting us financially, it's supporting me and my sense of self and it's supporting us as a family with an amazing work/life balance; all with time & space for me to still study too.

I've had a phenomenal first few weeks with them and things are always evolving and opportunities presenting themselves for which I'm incredibly grateful.

So work, plus family, plus study just means I'm refocusing my attention away from building content for services under my business as it has, for the last 5-6 years been known.

My qualifications don't go anywhere and I'm here to take on the right clients at the right time, should they come along - but my main focus over the next few weeks and from September will become my kids, my role in within the Charity organisation and my studies towards my Psychotherapeutic Counselling Qualifications and Life Coaching Certification.

When I return with those qualifications, there will be a complete shift and rebrand which is already planned and in place but on hold until I have the space to do it justice.

I love my business, how it started, how it evolved and how it's supported me. It's allowed me so much growth and a s**t tonne of healing and for that I'll always be grateful.

I'll still be here, but it'll be more lifestyle, behind the scenes, personal journey and general life type content for a while.

Thanks for those who have always supported me, and for those who have provided me with some life lessons, it's been a learning journey.

We have, very recently experienced first-hand the devastation that an increasingly negative and oppressive classroom/school environment has on a child's mental health and wellbeing.

An environment that fosters or permits a growing culture of inexcusable behaviour from staff or pupils is damaging to the mental well-being of its pupils and creates unmanageable chaos.

There is a proven and effect solution and it is simply to harness a positive, nurturing and universal approach to managing mental health in schools.

A whole school approach to dealing with existing mental ill-health problems, behavioural challenges, neuro-diversity and SEN puts everyone on the same page; it creates understanding and supports absolutely everyone from teachers, to senior management, to support staff and most importantly right down to the students/pupils.

It's imperative to get it right as a child grows through these challenging times, as their brains develop during a period of time where the information input and external stimulus is at an all time high, where the pressures to perform and measuring targets are more intense than ever.

The Rest Easy Method is a simple and effective tool designed to create a positive and universal approach to dealing with all of this and sits within the school PSHE curriculum.

I trained to become a coach at the end of 2019 and we are just finding the momentum rolling again after the pandemic set back.

I am qualified to train staff in this whole school approach.

To coach & support parents to initiate a whole-home approach.

And to work with children 121 (who can engage via zoom) to offer a supportive coaching package to help them build their confidence in supporting themselves through any difficulties.

Please get in touch for a free 20 minute chat to discuss whether this can benefit your school setting, your home or your young person.

The minute you shut someone down when they're opening up to you or telling you something about themselves - you become part of the problem.

People don't have to live alone or be completely isolated for loneliness to be hugely impactive on their lives, connection is everything and people reach out in a number of different ways - don't dismiss them.

Even the most together of people can suffer with disconnection from relationships that come in all forms.
Someone might have a partner but miss friendships, some might have friendships but miss the intimacy of a partner, some might be disconnected from themselves and not know where to turn.

The list goes on but everyone's experience is valid.

Listen with care and compassion, 'we should get a coffee sometime' or 'i was hoping we could catch up soon' might often be the loudest cry for connection.

When people are diagnosed with Chronic illnesses or invisible illness, physical or mental - it can be a lonely time - Whether its you or someone you care for.

The disease may be common, the disease may be rare but no one has experienced it the way you have, in the moment you do and within the shoes in which you walk your life.

Speaking from experience if the disease is rare, it is even more isolating.

People will always, from the best place try to give you advice. We experienced it when my daughter started showing signs and symptoms of PANS PANDAS and we were trying to separate out what was potentially a 'phase', consider mental health illness and then eventually learning about PP and drawing everything together under the big picture. We constantly heard things like 'they used to be like that, they'll grow out of it', or 'I'm sure it's just a phase' or 'that sounds rather dramatic, are you sure?'. Yes - I'm very sure!!

I know in the wonderful community of PP of parents that there is so much isolation and fear for both the children with it and their families and with an increase of unfounded FII accusations it's devastating.

We can't be everything to everyone all of the time but if someone has reached out to you, It's so important to at least TRY offer them understanding because if we don't, we isolate them further, the Loneliness grows and the mental health declines.

When my Dad was ill with Cancer, I was actually dating a guy, I was upset and missing my Dad (we lived 200 miles apart) he actually said to me 'nearly everyone knows someone with cancer Lisa, it's not like you're the only one'. - And yes, that's true, it's horrifically common, but this person apparently cared for me and yet his attitude was to try shame and silence my pain. Maybe he didn't know how to truly help, but he could have just held me quietly and offered love.

My passion throughout all my training and when building my business is to offer help and support to families who are going through this very thing, to help children manage the symptoms that can be managed and to give time, space, support and compassion to the parents who might feel lost, scared and alone. ❤️

Loneliness isn't just about the amount of people you have around you.

This mental health awareness week is shining a light on Loneliness being the biggest killer and I wanted to share my personal thoughts, experiences and ideas around what I've experienced Loneliness to be for myself, with friends and with clients I've worked with.

I've just shared some of my person experience of the last couple of weeks in my Stories as an example of how Loneliness can come about for someone in other ways.......
My daughter has had an awful time at school and its way more than just "school aged issues" so we've had a lot to contend with.

Personally I've found friends that I didn't realise I had, some have grown and strengthened. I've had so many messages and shoulders of support and many ears of understanding..... I'm beyond grateful and I'll never forget their kindness, ever. The same for my daughter.

So how does that make you feel lonely?

Because..... finding the people to actually solve the issues, finding the people to turn to when the first line of 'defence' who *should* be doing a number of things, don't......has been REALLY hard.

It's felt isolating and scary at times struggling to find the right people to turn to, having to write emails, make phone calls, take notes, keep records, read policies, push all you own needs aside to deal with an immediate issue.

Lonely.

No one being in the exact same situation, no one to understand what you need, no one to take control and guide you. My daughter, feeling like this is only happening to her, that she's been isolated and targeted. That she's been let down by friends.

Lonely.

No one understanding the sacrifices you've had to make, how far behind its made you, the things you've not been able to do and the impact it's had.

Lonely.

(Just to note - I am fine but I just wanted to share the idea that loneliness CAN be not having anyone around you at all, but that it hides in and amongst other things too.

It's there in so many situations and difficulties that arise for people and finding ways to navigate these and recognising the impact they have on those dealing with them is important in the fight against Loneliness.

It's a window to your soul.

The absolute magic and brilliance of Emotional Intelligence 🙏🙏

I said I was stepping back but after a client call talking about what lights you up left me feeling SO lit up - I'm just so full of inspiration.

It is so powerful to sit there listening to a client open up about all that happening for them right now and just knowing that ALL the answers are within them because I've seen it all reflected in their report which I've already read and prepared for them.
❤️❤️ It ALL starts with you. ❤️❤️

The realisations, confirmations breakthroughs are just 👌 and when you see the emotion an fire in their eyes it is just magic. 🪄🪄

I know I needed that after this morning and so I'm just so full-o-gratitude.

I've been working on myself in a self improvement way for years but the work has only been effective and impactive since Sept/October of last year.

It's all played a part of course but I was burning out, I was unhappy, I didn't trust myself, I didn't much like myself, I didn't do anything for myself or do much that really brought me joy. I was still doing what others were doing or what coaches that I didnt even align with were saying to do.

I was unfocused, stopping and starting with projects and and I didn't feel like I was achieving anything. I knew the end goal but I was distracted.

I kept those achievements that I was hitting hidden and quiet, I didn't know how to celebrate myself or talk about what I was trying to achieve.

I was worried and anxious all the time.

I didn't know what I wanted and I had little perception of who I was and where I was going.

Mastering my Emotional Intelligence has changed everything for me and my business and if you check out the image below you can see some of personal results measured by two separate Emotional Intelligence Reports done about 3 months apart.

I have ONE week left of my portfolio session prices of £99 but I've decided

for 24 hours only to offer

***one place at just £49***

For anyone wanting to experience this powerful report and coaching hour for themselves.

(Coaching session must be before 20th April)

Why is Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Coaching so vital for your self development and emotional well-being?

Because it's the embodiment of YOU!

2 Session left at only at a portfolio price £99.

In the picture you will see that my 'Raw Scores' are posted.

Think of this as your overview -

I had a raw score of 56% In October of 2020. I thought I'd nailed my emotional intelligence and I was rather wrong and this report threw my eyes WIDE open.

The coaching around my EQ showed me how I shape my interactions with others and the understanding I have of myself.

It defines how and what we learn, It allows us to set priorities.

It determines the majority of our daily actions. In our personal and professional lives.

My coaching session allowed me to identify areas to work on and I got to it. I embodied Silent Counselling (another service I now offer)
I read, I learned, I absorbed - the right information in the right way.

I reflected and gave myself time, space and compassion.

Then in 98 days I saw that my 'Raw Score' has increased 30% and was now sitting at 86%.

Where I was mostly lacking and where I improved was in myself. My interpersonal EQ.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE to see this improvement and change and to see infront of me the evidence of my hard work paying off.

Am I a finished article? No.

Have I reminded myself to review both of my reports to reflect and build on my improvement? Hell yeah! 😂😂

Quite glad to see the back of March.

Quite glad to be slowly emerging and healing long covid symptoms.

Am I where I thought I'd be after the first 1/4 of the year?.....it's a no again.
I sang the same tune in January after the last quarter of 2021.

Did I hit all my March Goals? No
Did I hit some? YES!! 🎉🎉
Is there more work to do in April? Hell yeah!

2022 has opened up with illness, post covid haze, bereavements, hospital appointments, a few disappointments, worry & uncertainty.

It's also opened up with progress and training despite the obstacles and with some self support and family around me. I've just been a bit more introverted with it all which is exactly what I needed.

So I'm not wallowing, infact, as the saying goes - the come back is bigger than the set back, so Come on April....let's go big!! 😍😍

I absolutely light up and love to talk about everything about EMOTIONS.

I had a client call yesterday about 'how you're meant to feel' and 'how you shouldn't respond to certain emotions'.

Says who? What are we measuring our emotional responses against? Do we truly understand where they are coming from?

There are no right or wrong emotions and there is no right or wrong way to feel, everyone's past and experiences are different.

It's about understanding where you are now with what you have and choosing your next move to be in alignment with that and where you want to be.

How do I know? Because I spent years in a spiral of depression and anxiety trying to FORCE my way out of my darkest hour by plastering over cracks and chucking EVERYTHING at my mental illness without addressing the root cause.

All the coaching and all the learning I've done is 100% inspired by my own journey out of the darkness and in supporting my daughter through hers.

Now I know about Emotional Intelligence and Its given me so much power and understanding.

Your Emotional Intelligence encompasses all of you.

* It is your ability to perceive and understanding emotions.
* To access and generate emotions.
* It assists your thought patterns.
* It's how you manage & process your emotions.

Knowledge, awareness and acceptance are key.

We are all a work in progress but imagine being able to pin point exactly what to work on now.

I'm pleased to say that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Coaching sessions are now available with me.

How these sessions will serve you;
* They will heighten your awareness of the various areas of emotional intelligence.
* Indicate your relative strengths and areas for development.
* Provide you with a personalised framework for personal and professional improvement.

If you're at the start of a self improvement journey, working with a coach and not quite getting the results you want, if you're feeling a bit stuck, at crossroads, confused and just, well a bit 'meh' - let's chat.

I have just TWO spots at £99 whilst I finalise my training portfolio and then this is going to shoot RIGHT up with prices starting from £199 with various package options.

It is absolutely INVALUABLE and POWERFUL.
Everyone should know this and you have a chance to grab all this power and information now!

2 Spots only available at this price until 20th April.

I have had my report run twice now and the improvement between the two was absolutely stagering! All because it was layed out for me through this report generation and coaching process.
I like information, I like tangible evidence and I like to see things infront of me so it was absolutely perfect for me and my development.

How it's done;
* Message me to book your coaching session in with me.
* Make payment.
* Receive a link to answer some questions and generate your report (must be completed at least 36 hours before your coaching session).
* I'll analysis you report and create your bespoke 1 hours coaching session to go through an overview of your report and areas of interest for you.
* You go away and make the magic happen!

In the last month I've only posted on my business account 3 times 😱😱

I don't have a group I'm present in everyday 😱

I haven't advertised my services for a while 😱😱

And I make no apologies.

Offline is reality. Offline is where I've been needed and offline is where I've been present.

The time I've spent online has been purposeful for me and I've been where I've needed to be when I've been needed.

I often wonder why people apologise for being absent or for 'not posting in a while'.....

Remember that you need to care for you.

Remember you need to align to your own Business, job and life.

Remember you need to focus on what's happening in YOUR world and unless they're walking alongside you, in your shoes, no one's opinion on that matters.

The space I've been occupying in the offline world is where I've been embodying everything I know, teach, preach and coach.

If you had access to my journal, you'd see valuable content.
If you could see me utilising my Emotional Intelligence Report to focus on my own areas of self support; If you could see the outcomes, tears and energy shifts from my silent counselling sessions on myself you'd see the work being done.

Being private and introverted doesn't make you any less a fully invested coach & therapist and it doesn't mean the stuff you have going on is any less valid than anything else.

March.

The opening of the year has been a bit of an uphill climb for some as they emerged from illnesses over Christmas and in the new year.

Happy February.

Finally January is over!! Anyone else feeling the same?

In one hand January felt like a bit of a wash out, plagued by post viral fatigue which is still ongoing, but I also feel that, despite that, I still achieved a fair bit of what I wanted to - just with a little less energy and speed than I'd anticipated!

There are many exciting things to come In February but also a fair bit of catching up.

Being poorly has left me a tad behind on my Counselling & Psychotherapy coursework, a bit of admin and enquiry/messaging replies; my brain function isn't quite up to scratch yet so it's taking a lot more effort than usual 🤣

These last couple of weeks in particular it's been highlighted to me how important it is to talk and how isolating the last two years of the pandemic have made us.

Mental ill health is on the rise, but you don't have to wait until you are struggling to reach out or to talk about things that are happening for you.

As a way of giving back, this Thursday I'm opening up a small number of half hour talk sessions for free.

❤️If you're finding yourself unsure of where to turn, hop on a call.

🧡If you're feeling isolated or lonely and just want to chat for half an hour, hop on a call.

💛If you need a space to just come and vent, hop on a call.

💚If you're tired of hearing "it'll be ok" and just want a place to be heard, hop on a call.

You're welcome to use the whole half hour or just part of it, whatever you want, the time is yours and I will compassionately hold that space open for you.

The sessions will be held on zoom and in strict confidence but no therapy or professional counselling will be offered during the call.

Swipe to see remaining available sessions and message to book in!
